Pardon me, but.... how can we be sure that this refers to Flight 253 and not to something even more ominous, such as a dirty bomb attack on a major metropolitan area?
I agree. The government is making a big deal out of this while in the past they have not responded this strongly. I think they know more than they are letting on. They may know of other attacks being planned.
We can’t be sure.
What we can be sure of is, that in the long run, this won’t be the end of the attempts.
What’s going on with today’s flight 253 into Detroit? I’m not seeing it listed in breaking news... hearing it now on CNN after just turning on news.
TODAYS 12.27 flight NW 253 Detroit called ahead and asked for emergency assistance upon landing; all passengers and crew thought to be off; one or more verbally disruptive passengers thought to be problem.
CNN: passenger up and down, spent lots of time in bathroom, thought to be suspicious... all monitored by gov’t off’ls in DC... standard post 9/11 procedures get on emergency interagency call... FAA keeps an open phone line 24/7 and all agencies can “come up on the net instantly” for a coordinated response.
