There is news now that another Nigerian has been detained on another Delta flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. In his thirties. Locked himself in the restroom and wouldn’t come out. They kicked the door open and dragged him out.

Napolitano:The issue was, was there enough information to move him to the more specific lists, which would require additional examination or indeed being on no-fly status. And to date, it does not appear that there was any such information to move him from that tied list, which was shared and everybody had it, but to a more specific list which would require different types of screening at the airport.

I read they have a new rule that passengers cannot get up from their seats in the last hour, which would have prevented passengers from interfering with this guy.

What “system worked”? Did they have some device that made the guy screw up when he built his device, so it didn’t explode?

Because otherwise, it seems that the only thing that stopped the first successful terror attack since 9/11 was the failure of the perp to correctly build his bomb.
