On Sunday, Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano claimed that the attempt to blow up the Amsterdam to Detroit flight last week demonstrated that "the system worked." On NBC's "Today" show on Monday, she claimed that her comment was taken out of context, and that she agrees that the system "failed miserably." Ms. Napolitano's second attempt at honesty was just as disingenuous as the first.
In her interview on Monday morning, she claimed that her reference to the system working just dealt with how security responded after the attack had been thwarted. . . .

These people even screw up their lies. The Socialists must be proud.

Listening to Napolitano speak about being able to protect America is like listening to Joe Isuzu giving a sales pitch for buying a used car.

Fire her. She is not there to protect the American people. She is there to do Obama’s bidding and he certainly is not there to protect the American people.

"the system worked" Translated to mean the passenger(s)took control and succeeded, but now the government wants passengers (international) to sit with hands on knees for an hour before landing. (huh?)
the system "failed miserably"
Homeland Security and the Airlines failed miserably. But let's still punish the passengers who don't fit "the profile". Thanks to the ACLU who says:
"If you believe you have been harmed due to a U.S. government watch list, while flying or anywhere else, tell us about it."
Every passenger for him(her)self...mob rule.
Bulletin: Napolitano and her ilk will not save you.

What does it say about a president who would choose this incompetent, unqualified person for the most important job in the world.

Last summer Napolitano’s DHS filed a report for Barry claiming that the greatest terrorist threat facing the U.S. were domestic right-wing extremists. Did the underpants bomber have a copy of National Review on his person by any chance?

Finally, somebody in that position who makes Janet Reno look competent and honest by comparison.
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

Ms. Napolitano's comments on Sunday were not just about the aftermath of the attack: "What we are focused on is making sure that the air environment remains safe, that people are confident when they travel. And one thing I'd like to point out is that the system worked. Everybody played an important role here. The passengers and crew of the flight took appropriate action ..."Since when has it been the passengers responsibility to take action?
