Former Vice President Dick Cheney accused President Barack Obama on Tuesday of “trying to pretend we are not at war” with terrorists, pointing to the White House response to the attempted sky bombing as reflecting a pattern that includes banishing the term “war on terror” and attempting to close the Guantanamo Bay detention center.
“[W]e are at war and when President Obama pretends we aren’t, it makes us less safe,” Cheney said in a statement to POLITICO. “Why doesn’t he want to admit we’re at war? It doesn’t fit with the view of the world he brought with him to the Oval Office. It doesn’t fit with what seems to be the goal of his presidency – social transformation—the restructuring of American society.”

Heard on the news this morning that Putin is planning to build more missiles in response to any anti-missile defense. The One has new threats growing around him every day, playing nice with our foes isn't going to make it go away. I wonder if he's feeling overwhelmed yet. Dubya played nice with the Dems with his "new tone" and has already said he regrets it. It only gets worse outside our borders.
He has scaled back the “War” to a police, law enforcement issue. The War is in Afghanistan. Everything else is a law enforcement issue. 0bama is not pretending, unfortunately. 0bama will not be forthcoming with a word of warning to Yemen about al-queda within their borders. It is a Yemen police issue, not an international one, just a nuisance criminal issue.
Politico clowns never hide their BDS in ANY of their “reportage”.
That's the right question, and Cheney knows the answer to it.

I can back that ticket. I love Sarah and want her as president now. But in a dream, should Cheney decide to run, she is young enough she can wait a little longer.
