Here’s a video where there is no sign of slurring. This was an early morning appearance. It is dated March 3, 2009. Other than the annoying ‘tsk’ sound he often makes.

That is what I said, if it wasn’t alcohol then it had to be drugs, you do not act that confused when you are tired only when under the influence or with a prior medical condition. Since no one has ever mentioned a medical condition then he was either drunk or stoned out of his gourd!

Baucus hasnt responded; his office has. Which tells me a lot.

IMO if he had been sober, he’d explain this personally and even take questions from the press at a news conference. Like McCain did when the NY Slimes falsely accused him of the affair with a lobbyist.

Look, look, look. He said he wasn't drunk, drunk, drunk. He was just excited, excited, excited. He has lots of respect for..you know, when those repub sintors were pressured, pressured, pressured to walk out and...I know what happened. Thats not what happened. Thats not what happened.
