Scott Brown adds bucks to upset bid for Senate

While Democrat Martha Coakley has raked in more than five times GOP rival Scott Brown’s donations, the underdog state senator’s fund raising is picking up steam in the final weeks of the race for U.S. Senate.

Coakley, the state’s attorney general, yesterday announced she’d raised $1 million in the last six weeks for a total of $5.2 million since her campaign began.

Brown’s campaign has received $700,000 in the past six weeks - considerably higher than previous totals - putting his war chest just over the $1 million mark.

“There has been an explosion of interest in Scott Brown’s campaign and a lot of his fund-raising energy is coming from online donations,” said senior adviser Eric Fehrnstrom, who added that most of Brown’s money has come from small donations.

All FREEPERS in New England need to join us in the BrownBrigade. Donations are great, but we need bodies on the streets. This is for the very soul of the Republic that we grew up in.

Is he a RINO? I don’t know anything about Brown. If he’s not a rino not I might ink him a check.

I don't know but in this case almost any GOP win is better than the alternative. A win in Taxachusetts would put the fear of God in the libs in congress.

I’m guessing these guys know the internal polling shows there is zero chance for this guy to win in Mass.

So why set up a referendum on Obama care and then lose it? It will just empower the media and Dems.

Wait for the big prize in November-—control of Congress. In the meantime, shaming guys like Ben Nelson or some blue dogs into voting against the final healthcare bill next month might be a better strategy.

“spokesman Corey Welford attributed her financial advantage to “grassroots support.”

She had also taken in $161,100 from political action groups as of Nov. 30, records show.

Among her biggest donors are fellow lawyers, who kicked in a total of about $615,000 as of last month, according to the Center for Responsive Politics “

Grassroots support...lmao. Usual goverment hacks and ambulance chasers for Marxist Coakley.
I’ll tell you what listening to wttk 96.9 radio yesterday there wasn’t a caller who wasn’t for Brown and a lot of them were addmitted dems.
This is a special election and very winnable.Marxist Coakley is appearing to be more and more feckless and weak which she is.Brown is getting more exposure and stronger by the day.
There are more people even in my small central Ma. town that are asking for lawn signs and asking how they can help the Brown campaign who have never been or cared about politics before....he is going to win.

I didn’t scoff at Dean’s tactics. Fact is, Dems CAN be competitive in virtually every district in the country (winning is another story). The GOP can’t. There are scores of districts we write off (mostly urban and non-White). But the latter is our fault when we don’t try to compete in Dem areas and give those voters a choice.

The power-hungry traitors in the US Congress have given us and every candidate running against them all the ammunition needed to expose them and to get them thrown out. Use these traitors’ words and deeds against them starting today.

At the New Year’s Eve party that I attended last night, politics was discussed and EVERYONE was enraged and want these traitors thrown out in November. The rage is real and the rage is everywhere.

Organize and expose the treason that was committed and is still being committed against We The People. YouTubes and ads must be created now and use their treason against them.

Reid, Pelosi, Obama et al. must be exposed and their power stripped from them. Use their treason against them. We have all the evidence we need.

The tsunami is rolling; play smart and play to win!

Lurker - I agree with your assessment - Brown would not be in the Collins/Snowe/Specter category of RINO/traitor.

If you heard his speech on primary night it was a red-meat speech that would play well in SC or WY for example - it was good.

Polling data has been zero on this race. Croakley IS NOT liked here. There is a chance for the upset here. I think the biggest factor will be GOTV. Some of the folks I've spoken with are apathetic.

That being said, most folks I've spoken with are voting for Brown/against ObamaCare.

Yep, IT IS TIME TO DRAIN THE SWAMP and DownSize DC!

It is not just the Dems that must go, but those Republicans who have sided with their Treason.

Any Congressman who voted for Cap&Trade is either a Traitor or simply Too Stupid to Hold Public Office.

I agree w/ you on Brwon in Mass. However, the control of Congress is still up in the air. A net gain of 41 seats is a tall order, and so far nothing indicates that will happen (which is not to say it won't). We will have to wait and see.

I’ve been sending this all over the USA:

Please join me in helping Scott Brown become US Senator from MA.
Reducing the Dems to 59 votes can ‘Kill the Bill’!
On January 19th, the state of Massachusetts will hold a special election to fill Ted Kennedy’s SENATE seat.

There are 3 candidates: Republican State Sen. Scott Brown, Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley, and Independent Joe Kennedy, who is not related to the w...ell-known clan.

If this seat goes to Brown, the Democrats loose their 60th seat, and will no longer be able to break a Republican filibuster.

It’s very unlikely that the House and Senate will be able to “reconcile” their Obamacare bills in time for a vote before Jan 19th!!

Lamestream media is keeping it quiet. Trying to keep this race off the TeaParty radar? This is NY-23 redux!!

This is a GREAT way to Nationalize the elections in 2010 too!! Let’s roll out national support for Conservative Scott Brown. Flood his campaign with millions of small donations!! E-mails to our friends, family, and anyone else you can think of to start spreading the word about this race.

Anyone across the country who is interested in phone-banking on Scott Brown’s behalf, please contact Field Director Brad Hansen at:

brad@brownforussenate.com or call 509-595-4683. Brad will set you up with a user-name and password. You will receive an email with your unique user name and password, as well as a link to the website where you will log in.

Once you are logged in, watch the tutorial on how to use the system and then you can start making calls.

“What do the current polls say? Where is Brown as a percentage against the dem?”

They did a “survey” after the primaries and Brown was winning by about 60-40.(Boston Globe?)
They also did a “survey” after the first debate and Brown was up like 60-40.(wbz?)
I’m not postive who did what “survey” but I remember the numbers being preety accurate.

I just contributed $100.00 via Scott's web site. I posted the following comment with my contribution:

Practically the only legal way I can effectively express my outrage at the deliberate destruction of our great nation by the Obamunists is to contribute some of my hard earned money towards their defeat. Good luck to Scott Brown, and if he wins, he must commit to completely revoking the Obamunist agenda, not just simply tinkering around the edges. Tinkering is simply another means of acceptance. If elected, I hope Scott Brown will join the revolution that will occur in November 2010.

I intend to contribute across the nation, with particular emphasis on my own state of Colorado, and even more particular emphasis on my own Congressional district, CO-4. I desperately want to run Rat freshman Betsy Market back to her kitchen, where she can resume her career baking Toll House cookies, which is what she is best suited to handle from an intelligence and education point of view.
