Just heard the same thing for the third time in the past two weeks. An Obamatron was just suggesting on Fox that free internet access is the latest "found" new right of everyone in the country. Everyone must have their own computer and internet account because so many libraries are being closed (by mean conservatives, no doubt). She went on to say that "last year 1.2 billion Americans" went to the library" demonstrating the cruelty of shutting them and thus ending free internet access to the masses (not to mention her keen statistical grasp on the polulation). The understated solution, of course, is free computers and internet accounts for everyone (at how many trillions of your tax-payer dollars of course).

The plain fact is, there is tons of older equipment out on the used market for pennies, and I do mean pennies on the dollar.
The problem is *gasp* the wouldbe internet user has to learn how to work on the hardware and install software that works on those older boxes and laptops, that would be marketable skill to earn, yet “Nanny” cannot have the peasantry learning how to make Linux or some old Microsoft OS work that would removed the need for “Nanny”.
30 dollars/free linux distro/wireless hotspot..
Those folks are psycho like Kathy Bates in Misery, once they come in contact, they never want you to leave.
And once "they pay" for it they have the right to dictate the contents...for the greater good, of course.

Libraries are funded by state and local governments. Obama will further drain their coffers with unfunded medicaid mandates. No libraries = Obama’s fault.
Have you been your nearest public lib? The keyboards are freakin’ gross. A friend of mine who uses them brings a small vial of anti-bacterial with him whenver he goes to the library.

I often wondered how many Americans lived in the additional 7 states that Obama talked about. They must all be Californias and New Yorks. I wonder how I missed them all these years. Obama's so brilliant, I don't even have to think anymore. Thank you Allah for Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, mmm!
