Well, be sure to get it to Glenn Beck. He would have a ball with this. He loves doing these “blackboard” connections.
Thank you. You can also see why I didn’t succeed as a journalist. LOL
btt
It’s alright. As I said myself, what originally started for myself as a target on NPR’s funding revealed a huge rabbit hole for myself(as well as anybody else who sees this) that needs way more investigation. These foundations.
============These Foundations funded somthing that was already being addressed w/ $400m. Why did they want to start another one? Probably to supply fraudelent data that would take away our freedoms and dampen Capitalism. Cloward-Piven Strategy. Obama was director of the Joyce Foundation in Chicago, and tried the same fraudulent data thing, only in his case it was to ban guns. Its all for the common good!===============
Sounds like a winner to me. It’s the typical bureaucratic entrenchment that leftists routinely do in government. They’re doing it in capitalism using foundations.
While your gut feeling on this is ultimately a gut feeling, I am in agreement with you and I’d bet that if further investigated, that’s exactly what this is/was for. Foundations seem to have become one of the left’s way of bureaucratizing our capitalist society.
Before america can heal all this corruption needs to be weeded out and exposed in the full sunlight.

Any good propaganda is like a good joke. They have to contain elements of the truth(generally, large elements) in order to be believable And you subtlety slip in lines here and there that seemingly come out of nowhere.
Sesame street has long been noted for it’s liberal bias, particularly in it’s treatment of gender and race.(think identity politics - the first black this, the first woman that and so forth)
They aren’t just going to come out and say americans are evil. Most of it’s viewers wouldn’t believe that. They have to slowly be painted as homophobes and racists. Greedy SOBs who use too much of the world’s oil and don’t redistribute enough to the poor.
I posted this just the other day:

Listen to the audio. Notice how this journalist gets in a line about cali’s welfare and the promised land as if it’s no big deal. Just slip it in there. I hear regularly on BBC(which gets played early mornings on public radio) radical imams get called conservatives. Every now and then, other MSM outlets slip and do the same thing.

Qualifier post:
I don’t expect these numbers to be accurate, but here you can access some funding disclosure forms from NPR themselves. You will see most of the names I am listing on one or another of these lists.(at the bottom of the page, PDF forms available from 2001 to 2008)
http://www.npr.org/about/privatesupport.html
There is no way I could get to all of these. But I’ll continue to list a few more of some of the major ones I spot so as to further this premise.
We need to expose these people.

Let’s go for round two. This about sums up all the major ones I know of. First up, the Park Foundation. Known for funding Soros own TV channel.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2419889/posts
Notice the other funders of soros’ tv as well. Macarthur, Hewlett, and Wallace.
Here is more on Park.
http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2009/03/institute_for_public_accuracy.html
Again, we see some familiar names of foundations all tied in with the left. Park, Wallace, and the Rockefellers.
Progressive Insurance funds NPR too. Think Peter Lewis - Progressive’s CEO. Known for funding all kinds of left wing stuff.

The Kauffman foundation. Their website is very orwellian: http://www.buildastrongeramerica.com/ They also fund left wing groups:
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6998
Feeding America supports NPR. They belong to another group called nourishtoday. Also in this partnership of nourishtoday is the conagra foundation and La Raza.

Doris Duke Foundation supports NPR and is a well known eco-whacko activist group.

Then you have the Alfred P Sloan Foundation. They work with the Sundance Institute which is a front group for Soros. ( Robert Redford’s place )

The Metlife Foundation. Funding NPR and ACORN.

The Pew Charitable Trusts support NPR.
David Becker is/was a fellow at People for the american way. That’s who Pew tapped to run the “make voting work” initiative.
The Iraq-Afghanistan Deployment Impact Fund is a very nice sounding group that I’m not able to find much about, except I’m very suspicious of it due to one of it’s major donors, David Gelbaum. You may remember him as the mysterious ACLU donor.

At http://www.rightalk.com/ they have a great breakdown of the Ford foundation’s 50 million dollar donation under a section labeled “NPR and PBS”. I can’t directly link to it due to the use of java on the website.

I reassured him that I wasn't going to cut down all the trees and that I was impressed that he understood that plants are a vital part of the CO2 - O2 cycle.
Still, I wonder where he got the fear of cutting trees causes us to not have air? It was a good "conservative teaching moment" as I got to talk to him about renewable resources and we put a couple of logs into the woodstove and heated the room up. :-)
Thanks for that.
Very good work putting this together.

See this filth from NPR
Oligopolies each and every one.
Wow. You’ve got a lot of keywords there, fella.
Yep! See post 38.
