Thank you Mr. Gore, it's not every day that you see a freeze watch issued by the Miami office of NWS.

I remember that cold spell because it was about -20 or so in Indianapolis on Christmas Eve that year when we went to visit some friends.

cuz they’ve had to too good for too long. It’s their turn to deal with what I deal with every winter.

And also because it will make algore shutup for a day or two.

Why does NOAA always have to shout with all CAPS? It's not like their using old Teletype machines anymore.

Freeze, shemeze.

In December of 1962, it was 17 degrees in Tampa. I slipped on ice on the sidewalk headed for school that morning.

Last time I was in Orlando was january 2004, had a blast at the nearly deserted water parks, was immensely amused to see people wearing parkas, caps and gloves at Universal Studios in temps of low 50’s.

Spent a whole month there in a vacation rental home, there were a couple of days when the temps went over 75 and I had a little bit of heat exhaustion but it was a good vacation, returned to Alaska where it was -20F.I cannot go anywhere where it gets over 80 after quite a few years in Alaska now.

I hope they get an ice storm.

Why? Lots of South Florida homes don't have central heat. The citrus industry and other economically important vegetation are at risk.
