Dozens of people have died in a cold wave sweeping through northern India, the country's state broadcaster Doordarshan says.
The majority of deaths have happened in the state of Uttar Pradesh, according to media reports.

I’m thinking this would be a tough time to try to organize a STOP GLOBAL WARMING !! demonstration in Uttar Pradesh

or China
or Europe and Russia
or most of the USA
or anywhere for that matter.
Say did you hear about the Peruvians living at 9000 ft who are complaining they are dying off because of the severe cold of recent years
and the article reporting same naturally blamed this on - stop me if you’ve heard this one before - you guessed it - GLOBAL WARMING !
It’s a scream.
The global warming must have chased the cold onto land masses, or some such thing. In the mean time the North Pole has become a polar bear sauna, or some such thing.

Cold Wave grips North India, Death Toll rises to 100
New Delhi: Breaking News! Cold wave conditions gripped North India, as the death toll went up to 100 now. Many areas in Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Padesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Haryana are witnessing unprecedented cold and breeze, which brought the normal life to a complete halt.
Uttar Pradesh has reported 72 deaths so far. Srinagar and Shimla witnessed heavy snow fall. Temperature in Sringar dipped to -1.2°C on Sunday. Amritsar recorded 3°C, while many other parts in North India recorded temperatures between 3°C - 5°C.
