The Environmental Protection Agency will propose the nation's strictest-ever smog limits today, a move that would put Los Angeles, Chicago, their suburbs and much of the rest of the country in violation of federal air quality regulations.
The Agency will propose allowing a ground-level ozone concentration of between 60 and 70 parts per billion, down from the 75 parts per billion standard adopted under President Bush in 2008.
The proposed range was what scientists had recommended during the Bush administration. However, former President George W. Bush personally intervened and set the standard above what was advised after protests from electric utilities and other industries.

I’d like to propose the EPA be abolished — it’s outlived its usefulness, greatly expanded mission creep, and has shown it can’t do squat about real problems.

Abolish the EPA, but yet again, abolish ALL extra-Constitutional bureaus. We could pay back 2 trillion dollars every year for seven straight years to our debt. It could be paid off by 2017, just with the savings. Imagine a debt free country, no Federal Reserve, less than a Trillion dollar yearly budget in 7 years. A commodity backed currency, and another Calvin Coolidge in the White House....hey, I can dream can’t I?
Who started the EPA? What President put together a gov’t organization that could so devastatingly affect us like they do?

The problem isn’t respect for life, loyalty to country under normal circumstances, or sane care taking of the globe this side of glory. The problem is stopping with these. Ozone is Nature’s system for consuming pollution be it natural or man made. Complaining about ozone is like complaining about the firemen at a fire.

The most effective changes are around the margins. I.E., you get a job after your AS degree, max your 401k to the company match, and go back to school since the company pays for it. 8 years later, you are wealthier and get a new job internally that pays 20 grand more, life is good.
Well that can work in reverse too, with these clowns on a National Level, let us take a look.
