"Democrats worried about protecting the homeland in wake of the Christmas Day terror plot are also..."

Someone's certainly working overtime to protect someone, Sherman & Bresnahan, throwing up cover for the dems like that. I'm sure you'll be doing that for some pubs any time soon, NOT.

Obama and his thugs are pathetic in the way they’ve handled this and the Hasan murders. Napolitano should be gone along with Gen. Casey!

I hope she does stay there. She’ll continue to make idiotic remarks & by the time 2012 arrives the Republicans can run Porky Pig as the nominee & beat Obama.

And this, of course, is the crux of the issue: politics/ideology trumps EVERYTHING. It is true especially of the left but it infects both parties. Personal power and prestige are far, far more important to the political/bureaucratic class than national security. And it goes without saying that fiscal responsibility is a very low priority (pretty much non-existent) when measured against the need to buy votes. In respect to the fiscal aspect I place more of the onus on the GOP than the rats. We expect the rats to act like fools but the GOP has postured as the party of fiscal sanity and they acted as anything but under Bush II.

And when you take the path that institutionalizes and protects Incompetents, the only thing that one can guarantee, is that not only will there be more attacks, they will be successful attacks, and there will be no hiding the complicity of those who are about to protect the blubber brained political appointees and hirees that facilitated by thier imbecility, the future deaths of Americans.

The only thing the Democrats are good at is gaming the system.

Fine--keep her. But she's got a bad wound, and don't think it won't keep bleeding all over the place.

The smart thing for the Dems to do is to let her fall on the sword. This is a dumb move, and we should take advantage of it.

Why waste money on hearings? It’s Bush’s fault.

That’s okay. They need time to practice that song they played when the Titanic went down so they can play it for all the Dems at their big finale:)

Hello....??...Is it just me or, has everyone forgot that eye witnesses state the “underwear” bomber was escorted on the plane without passport, and that another passenger was video recording this patsy the whole time he was on the plane. How can we get excited about a blame game, when it is obvious that this was another staged event, with this false flag events result is body scanners everywhere. Plus, it supposedly justifies expanding the war machine into Yemen which had already begun prior to this incident.

I have never understood how a colossal behemoth of government bureaucracy such as her could land a cushy National Security job without ANY experience in..National Security!

“To some extent it’s going to be a free-for-all; we are as angry as anybody about this,” said an aide to a senior Senate Democrat. “But apart from saying the wrong thing early on, the breaches aren’t really the fault of Napolitano and DHS, so she’s not going to be the target.

Before even scheduling hearings, the Democrats have determined DHS is guilt-free, other than saying the wrong thing early on. Now THAT'S government efficiency.

Democrats are carefully gaming out the testimony of Napolitano to spare her from the worst of the GOP criticism.

But Tea Partiers are hypocrites if they so much as share a map to get to the rally.
