What appearance are you going to go on?? Chechnya and Bosnia will give you Caucasians. Indonesia has the largest Muslim population. The Pantie bomber is black. America has White and Black converts to Islam. Middle Eastern people look a lot like Hispanics.

My point is that you miss too many potential threats if you look only at Mideastern types and Al Quada can easily adapt as is show by the Nigerian where half or more of the population are Christian.

I’ve been saying that for the past 10 years. I heard Brennan say nearly the same thing (Muslim males 18 - 40 years of age) on television this afternoon.

Of course there should be other parameters as well. I was only pointing out that appearance should be the primary one, along with nationality.

Once we're willing to profile this way I'll believe we're serious about fighting terror & saving lives. Unfortunately we're not there yet.

Even Allowing for the fact that bureaucracies have a collective IQ inversely proportional to the number of its members, "profiling" consists of much more that your puerile definition.

You are the only one who has defined "profiling" as simply a process solely "based on ethnicity and race."

What that means is, that no one else has.

We can just ask the Israelis what "profiling" means. It is a lot more than ethnicity, language and race.
Their air-travel profiling, far as I know, has been 100% effective.
