First time for Obama to go to church in about a year.

I guess the fear of losing that "Kennedy seat" made him have a come to Jesus moment.

Like church people need to be told to help the poor and destitute.

HEY HUSSEIN! THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT DOESN'T GIVE TO CHARITY ARE CLOWNS LIKE YOU! LIBERALS, ACADEMICS, ETC.

UPDATE

Obama to appear at District church where King spoke

By Hamil R. Harris
In his second appearance at a local church since taking office, President Obama on Sunday will attend a historic African American congregation in Northwest Washington. He was expected to speak from a pulpit where the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. once stood.

The first family is expected to attend the Vermont Avenue Baptist Church, a 144-year-old congregation in the Logan Circle area where on February 7, 1968, King delivered a sermon that was part of a series entitled “In search of a sense of direction.”

“Dr. King stood for the cause of Christ and righteousness and justice in spite of a political backlash,” Wheeler said in an interview, recalling that King came to a church only months before his death and during a time when he was unpopular in many political circles because of his stand on the Vietnam War.

“He pushed for what was right for our nation and that ought to be a guide for us now right now in the shadow of eh health care debate, the disaster in Haiti and what else is going on in the world,” Wheeler said.

(snip)

Obama will deliver remarks about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

I say he chooses to speak like Uncle Remus today.

If they allow obama to speak from the pulpit, I would not call it a Church. It would be more of a social club.

Jesus commented on “churches” like this in the New Testament. He began with “On that day, many will say, Did we not ...... in your Name. He finished by saying,”Depart from Me you workers of iniquity [sp?], I never knew you”.

Of course not!!!!! The Obama family has barely seen the inside of a church since they left their mentor and his hate America church, the American Hating Rev. Jeremiah Wright. If he really cared about the poor people of Haiti, Obama, Bill Clinton, or Michelle Obama should be on the island displaying our “real support & concern” for the devasted folks in Haiti. Where are the three deadbeats? Why, up in Massachusetts, trying to cover their own butts for their “not-too-bright” senate candidate, Martha Coakley, You know, politics transcends any natural disaster!!!! Barack Obama could care less for the folks in Haiti!!! As for the other buffoon, Hillary Clinton, this cutie made naught but a “whistle stop” in Haiti and.....said let me get the heck out of here as fast as I can. I here tell her input back to Obama was: “send Bush Jr. & Bush Sr. to Haiti, then when it goes south and bad,we can blame those low life Republicans.” Folks, in MA, if you want change, vote for Scott Brown next Tuesday and send these deadbeat losers down the flushing toilet where they rightfully belong!!!!

Obama is attending Church? It took a competitive Senate Race for him to re-find God?

The utter and complete narcissism of this man is breathtaking. To take a tragedy like what happened in Haiti and make it about yourself, and to do it from a church pulpit, is disgusting and repulsive.
