You wasted a lot of bandwidth with all that outlining.

Yeah, you did.

That was some very insightful analysis of Suntein’s BS and I, for one, look forward to reading your future posts.

Carry on.

Has anyone here read ORWELL???

Read it?

Sunstein probably studied it!

"This process of continuous alteration was applied not only to newspapers, but to books, periodicals, posters, leaflets, films, sound tracks, cartoons, photographs -- to every kind of literature or documentation which might conceivably hold any political or ideological significance. day by day and almost minute by Minute the past was brought up to date. In this way every prediction made by the party could be shown by documentary evidence to have been correct; nor was any item of news, or any expression of opinion, which conflicted with the needs of the moment, ever allowed to remain on record. All history was a palimpsest, scraped clean and reinscribed exactly as often as was necessary. In no case would it have been possible, once the deed was done, to prove that any falsification had taken place. The largest section of the Records Department, for larger than the one in which Winston worked, consisted simply of persons whose duty it was to track down and collect all copies of books, newspapers, and other documents which had been superseded and were due for destruction." (George Orwell's 1984)

Thank you but the stuff about "choice architecture," nudge, and "libertarian paternalism" came from information in the book reviews.

I got interested in Sunstein from two radio interviews about his book "Republic.com."

He advocated government forcing people (conservatives) to consider opposing views. And he did mean forcing.

One interviewer asked him if liberals should also be forced to considerate opposing views -- he had to think a bit about it and then said something like, "Yes, I suppose they should, I never considered that." At least that's what it sounded like and that's how I remember it.

Thanks for your comments and the links.

I knew this Cass person was insanely evil - but did not know the details of all he has said in his lectures.....

So, rats that are killed mercilessly by homeowners should be able to sue the homeowner? And he was not talking about DemoRATS but about the kind that chew on baby’s toes and carry bubonic plague??? (though some Demonrats probably do that too...)

Save these Youtube videos.....my bet is they will be removed in the near future if Zero stays in office....which is not a sure thing at this point.

By this “Information and Regulatory Czar” of course.

Fascinating.

Suppose we “force” Sunstein to consider Communism, or Capitalism, or Atheism, or Agnosticism, or Catholicism? (Just so happens my particular “brand” of faith.)

How on earth would THAT pass Constitutional muster?

Stalin would be proud.

Sunstein himself -- as part of his 2008 paper -- explicitly advocates that the Government should pay what he calls "credible independent experts" to advocate on the Government's behalf,

"Credible independent experts" like, say, Cass Sunstein and his friends.

How on earth would THAT pass Constitutional muster?

These social architects view the Constitution as a hindrance and they believe the over time the basic premises of the document which they see as severely outdated, will be buried under a mountain of legal interpretations and some amendments.

They got most of the amendments during the post WWII period using the depravity of war and the resurgence of the American economy as cover. They git a lot of the interpretations like "one man one vote", "separation of church and state" and similar distortions of truth. Now they plan to use a depression or at best a severe recession to do more.

The idea is to form the perfect society, with them at the top of the food chain of course. The quasi-intellectual poop that they espouse and share between them sustains them as they wait for this perfection.

I don't know how you defeat them because they will blend into the surroundings during times of strife or conservative control. They teach our kids, run our social services and populate the droves of people who write our text books.

They are so prolific now that they don't bother to hide, but one day......one day that will change. It must, or we, the American Republic, the great experiment, will be lost to European style socialism.

The only way youre going to “out” clever libs like the one you describe is looking them straight in the eye and asking them point blank their positions on immigration, UN, and “pro-choice” movements. Then you can clean house.

"Does anyone know what the Marxist Hegelian Dialectic is?

I took "Philosophy of Hegel" in college..epistemology no? And something about the historical flow of philosophical metaphysics and..er..never mind. :) I think the gist of it was that history repeats itself. At least thats how I remember it. One of the hardest courses I had taken.

Isn’t Sunstein the one who wants to give animals the right to get lawyers and sue in US Courts?

...is looking them straight in the eye and asking them point blank their positions on immigration, UN, and “pro-choice” movements.

In this case, we couldn't do that. It is kinda difficult to look at them in the eye when we're on FR. She was asked straight out for her positions on a number of items. She ignored the questions. So, it took patience and watching her build her history before she was finally banned. She was mostly neutralized though when she was called a troll by some of us when we encountered her. I didn't go looking for her, but when she popped up on threads I was reading, I outted her. I'm expecting her to come back with a different IP and screen name, but so far, I haven't seen her MO.
