Boston, MA (LifeNews.com) -- Behind in the polls to Republican Senate candidate Scott brown, supporters of pro-abortion candidate Martha Coakley have evidentially reached into their bag of dirty tricks. A Washington, D.C. based company is making calls to Massachusetts residents pretending to represent a prominent pro-life group. The calls, from 202-461-3441, a Washington number registered to a company called SOOH, claim to be from Massachusetts Citizens for Life.

The caller claims the pro-life group is opposing Scott brown because of his stance against the health care bill, but as MCFL president Anne Fox told LifeNews.com late Monday, the opposite is true.

"Pro-lifers are receiving phone calls from people claiming to be Massachusetts Citizens for Life. The callers say that MCFL is not supporting Scott Brown because of his position on health care," she said. "The truth is that Massachusetts Citizens for Life is supporting Brown because of his position on health care."

I realize they are supporting him, but they shouldn't be.

Scott Brown is pro-abortion.

Pro-lifers are too smart to for a dumb ploy like this. Plus, they’re engaged enough to know the candidates long before election day.

Exactly. The MCFL should be denouncing Brown for his adamantly Pro-Roe/pro-abortion rights position.

1) Lots of dead people on the MA voting rolls
2) Absentee ballots being handed out on the sidewalk on the day of the election
3) Boston Globe "testing data" on their website and accidentally going live with news of Coakley's victory -- eight hours before the polls close.
4) Fraudulent robo-calls trying to suppress Brown voters

Is there an effort to steal the election? I have no idea. But I won't be surprised if we end up with a recount. And I won't be surprised if the recounts go on and on until the Democrat eventually wins.

We've been there before.

From your link:

Brown picked up the support of the Massachusetts Citizens for Life in this race, based on his position on issues including abortion, stem cells, and federal health legislation. He also opposes federal funding for abortion, supports strong parental consent rules for minors, and supports the ban on what opponents call partial-birth abortion.

“We’re behind him,’’ said John Rowe, chairman of the group’s federal political action committee. “The pro-life vote is very important at this point. It can make a big difference.’’ The group did not support Brown in 2004, when, during his campaign for state Senate, he noted his support for Roe v. Wade. But Rowe said he believes that Brown’s position has evolved. “We always welcome people coming over to our side,’’ he said.

Brown issued a statement through a spokesman: “While this decision should ultimately be made by the woman in consultation with her doctor, I believe we need to reduce the number of abortions in America,’’ he said.

This really is a dirty trick they’re pulling.

While he states that he is pro-choice, he also says he opposes federal funding for abortions. So, the truth is that they should be supporting his stance against the health-care bill. They may have reason not to support him in regards to his abortion stance in general, but his opposition to the bill shouldn’t be one of them because the healthcare bill allows for abortion.

I don’t agree with his abortion stance, but, the reason I support him is that I do not want any of my tax money going to support abortions.

Brown's website states the abortion "decision should ultimately be made by the woman in consultation with her doctor..." Back in 2002 he stated, "Abortions should always be legally available."

In their last debate, Brown said to Coakley:

"... we have the same position on abortion. Roe v Wade is the law of the land."

While Brown does oppose PBA, he supports abortion rights in the other 99.5% of cases. Also, he voted for RomneyCare which allows you to get a $50.00 abortion.

Clinton[s] said the very same thing. A champion for the pro-life cause Brown is not. The fact he is running on the Republican ticket is smarmy at best. He hoodwinked me. Who else, I wonder, does not know he is pro-abortion?

I realize they are supporting him, but they shouldn't be.

In this race, they should be. He opposes Obamacare, which would pay for abortions. He opposes Partial-birth abortion. I think he also against embryonic stem-cell use. That's not exactly pro-life, but it is better than Croakley's pro-death approach. It's incrementalism.

Also, as a republican, he would probably support the Supreme Court picks of a republican president, which would go farther to end abortion than his public position on the subject.

Yes, most pro-aborts even can see that ripping a child limb by lifeless limb is cruel and unusual punishment. The fact we have a president that does not see that, evidently gives us cause to applaud a man who does. I don't need to tell *you* this, but I type it for others:

is Satan winning?

As Fr. Euteneuer (only one of 12 official Church exorcists in the United States) says: "We are reminded that even supposed political victories are temporary, and that the solution to these problems is not political, even if we have to keep up the political fight and our activist efforts," said Father Euteneuer. "We are called to prayer, fasting and conversion... only God can put a stop to the horror of abortion now."
