Boston Tea Party (WSJ Editorial)
Wall St Journal ^ | Jan 20, 2010 | Editorial

'It is to me a new and consolatory proof that wherever the people are well-informed they can be trusted with their own government; that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights."

—Thomas Jefferson to Richard Price, January 8, 1789.

Two hundred and twenty-one years later, the sage of Monticello has been proven right again. Aroused and well-informed by a year of watching a liberal majority go very far wrong, Massachusetts voters handed a Senate seat held by Ted Kennedy for 47 years to Republican Scott Brown, a little known state senator from Wrenthem.

God bless all those who fought for their country last year and yesterday. Yesterday was a very big day, but yet just another step in the fight back for our country.

Words are not coming out today.

Then I will help.

The Dems will not be sitting on their respective rear ends.

Can anyone envision the reception on the senate floor of Mr Brown?

What will be the next dem atrocity on the American people, despite the win by Mr Brown.

How soon will the American people lapse into the warm fuzzy after the apparent victory?

This is not the end.
Nor is it even the beginning of the end.
But it is the end of the beginning.

Than you, Masschusetts!!! Just as Paul Revere did so long ago, you clearly and loudly sounded the alarm across the commonwealth, across the state, across the country and, across the entire world. Barack Hussein Obama has failed America, he has failed “all” Americans, he has failed his presidency, he has brought only two negative things to the POTUS office, he is trying to destroy the great nation we are and he has effectively diminished our stature throughout the world, and....the enemies of the United States of America know how to work him like a puppet. He is a lightweight, an empty suit and if he ever came across an ounce of common sense, he would never recognize it. He never worked a real day in his entire life, knows zilch about American history and could care less!!! Actually, he should resign!!! The American people, by a large majority have his number and, as such, he has become a lame duck POTUS and will remain one. The country is without effective leadership, and has been that way since his assuming office last January!!!!

Ya know...

There is another interesting aspect to this.

Frankenboy has relished his junior Senator bad boy routine. He loves acting the a$$hole because he thinks he can get away with it, and nobody (among the Senators) is as pugnacious and loudmouthed as he is.

Now comes a very physically fit, junior REPUBLICAN Senator who happens to be an Army reserve officer...

Methinks the next time Franken tries to go off on one of his temper tantrums, he just might get told to put a sock in it or get his face reshaped.

This is sooooo cool.....

The evil doers have a lot more skull duggery up their sleeves.

God has bigger sleeves and better surprises for them.

We shall see.

It’s gonna get very very VERY ugly.

Education is indeed key. In this day and age of internet and so many other means of communication and learning, I'm always amazed at how people go to the polls to vote without even a clue as to the issues and the candidates. These are the ones who swallow such feel good lines as “hope and change” without knowing just what the change is going to entail. These are the ones who follow all the Hollywood celebs and their scandals....they know everything about Michael Jackson, Charlie Sheen and Tiger Woods, but if I were to mention Scott Brown, they would get that puzzled look. They can't wait for government run health care, but if you tell them what they are in for if it passes (e.g., the life and death committees that will make all your health decisions for you), they think you're crazy.

It was heartening to see people stand up for a change in Massachusetts. Let's hope the rest of the country follows suit.

Or very interesting. I haven’t decided which. Either way or both, there is HOPE completely unlike that of the Obama campaign.

You are correct! Let's not be mesmerized by the new RINO spin that says Obama is still loved by the people and can become an effective President if he now learns the lesson of Massachusetts and moves toward the center. This has always been and will remain A BATTLE TO DEFEAT EVIL! Evil is at work and is trying to destroy the nation. It must be eradicated. BRAVO JLAGRAYFOX. . .well said!

HOWEVER,

I’m increasingly being drawn more firmly into the conviction that

ANY HOPE outside of HOPE IN JESUS THE CHRIST

is a false hope.

I’m not saying this necessarily is . . .

I’m just saying that whatever we invest in, contribute to, involve ourselves in . . .

unless there’s a strong, real viable aspect of Christ being at the head, the chief focus, the chief motivation . . . of the actions and efforts . . . they may well; they likely will be

in vain.

At some point, they will certainly be in vain.

Just wait until the liberals see the power and the glory of the Lord.... even then, the atheist will believe.

Should be interesting.

Sadly, Scripture says many will still curse God and die rather than repent, submit and live eternally.

Horrific.

Been there. Done that . . . lots of wrecks and disasters in the wake.

Thankfully, have also contributed to His projects.

" Sadly, Scripture says many will still curse God and die rather than repent, submit and live eternally. "

Those who will curse GOD when they see him physically were not his in the first place, and no matter how much they have heard of the Gospel will change them.....
The LORD knows those that are his.
And, yes, Jesus Christ is GOD in the flesh....
