Now that I've finally been forced to admit everything, I'm going to be honest with you. So forgive me already.
By MIKE BAKER, Associated Press Writer Mike Baker, Associated Press Writer – 1 hr 3 mins ago RALEIGH, N.C. – Former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards finally admitted Thursday he fathered a child during an affair before his second White House bid, dropping long-standing denials just ahead of a book by a former campaign aide who initially took the fall.
Edwards released a statement admitting paternity of the girl, Frances Quinn Hunter, who was born in 2008 to videographer Rielle Hunter as the result of an affair Edwards has already confessed to.
"It was wrong for me to ever deny she was my daughter," he said, adding he was providing financial support for the child and mother. "I am Quinn's father."
The admission comes ahead of the Feb. 2 release of a book by former Edwards aide Andrew Young that is expected to describe how Edwards worked to hide his paternity with Young's help.

To the point of having the woman live in his home with his family ... is Young now saying that he DID have sex with her, but just wasn't the father of the child, or is he denying all, admitting to assisting Edwards by agreeing to lie?
In an excerpt of an ABC News interview released Thursday, Young says that Edwards asked him to arrange a fake a paternity test.
"Get a doctor to fake the DNA results," Young said Edwards told him. "And he asked me ... to steal a diaper from the baby so he could secretly do a DNA test to find out if this (was) indeed his child."
I'm curious to know why it took a BOOK DEAL to let the American people know this stuff and what penalties Young ought to be facing, considering he assisted in the perpetration while he was in the employ of a federal official, campaign work or no. Any legal-beagles here able to offer insight?
Now lets find out what deal he had with Obama to destroy Hillary’s nomination. I bet it isnt pretty, Edwards has a lot to answer for in getting Obama the nomination.

And to think that this guy was a serious contender for POTUS ... actually, he’s probably not much worse than the guy that defeated him, but that’s another story ...
