Will Obama be impeached/disqualified before his term is up?

In just one year, he's already acknowledging massive failures on the part of the Democrats. Just imagine what things will be like 1 year from now, with an inflamed war taking place surrounding Israel, Iran and the Saudis, and unemployment going even further, and conservatives gaining power back to some degree. If he's 48-49% now, in a year he'll be in the low 30's!

When everyone is cold and hungry and busting down the doors to the U.S. Capitol, there may be a congressional response.

Yeah that will go over with the independents, and democrats that actually have a working brain cell.

What and then get stuck with 2 years in order to magically undo what this a$$hat has done?

unless he experience something supernatural, he's going to be crushed by pressure from both sides. He will cave in completely.

I hope he gets it together.

Doubt it. But I was thinking the other day that this guy hates America so much that I bet he’ll be the first and only American president to retire abroad.

Low approval ratings and policy disagreements aren't grounds for impeachment - and impeachment should be a last resort, not a political weapon. If you want to see the same independents who are now angry with the Democrats become infuriated with the Republicans, bog down the government in a politically-driven impeachment. For now, I'm just happy that Obama and the Democrats can forget about passing any of their big-ticket proposals on health-care, cap-and-trade, etc. In the current political environment, the main items on Obama's agenda are impossible.

I’ve been pushing the birth issue for a year and a half or more. It’s obvious to me that Obama is hiding virtually everything about himself, and that what he’s hiding is probably that he is an illegal alien, not a citizen at all.

Whether or not congress and the courts will DO anything about that problem remains to be seen. But at the very least, keeping the issue alive has helped a great deal to weaken Obama’s legitimacy and his popularity. Quite a few people now suspect that he’s a Kenyan, a Communist, and a Muslim to boot, and that he does not have any more love for our country than all those Muslim terrorists and Communist dictators out there whom he loves so much.

In other words, anything we can do to weaken Obama and his plans to destroy our country should be pursued with all the energy we have. If we can get his approval numbers down to 30% or less, if we can throw out a raft of Dem Congressmen and Senators, and even some of the worst RINOs, then the birth issue will have done its job. And I don’t think the people will allow themselves to be fooled the same way twice—by the insider politicians of both parties.

The Constitution says, “The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.”

Indeed. But when you have a Congress equally guilty of treason, and bribery etc... you are not going to see enforcement.

And we saw that with Clinton's impeachment. Of course, I always believed the treason charge was the one that should have been used. The betrayals of US National Security to China were palpably undeniable treason.

This law needs to be pursued and enforced with vigor.

Obama will not be impeached. He will lose in 2012 though, I work in the hotel industry and had a conversation with a affluent Boston liberal and asked the person about the Mass special senatorial election. We talked and the person said that that person was voting for "change" by absentee ballot.

AS Bob Dylan stated, "The times they are a changin"

Americans don’t like his policies, nor do they like the results, but they still like him.

I like him, too...but then again, I like being circumcized with a dull, rusty razor blade.

It is highly unlikely for many reasons.

Unless there is overwhelming proof that Obama is not a natural born citizen, by even the most liberal interpretation of the clause, I simply cannot see the SCOTUS unseating a POTUS. Even if it were proven he was born in Kenya, I could see the SCOTUS refusing to remove him, saying that his mother's citizenship makes him a NBC (I'm not saying I agree, I just think the court might rule that way). From a practical standpoint, I think proof that BOTH his parents were foreign nationals and that he was born outside the U.S., would be needed.

As for impeachment, even if a solid case could be proved, it would require a majority of the House and 67 Senators to vote for impeachment. I just don't see the votes being there, even after the 2010 midterms.

Also, I'm not sure what grounds there are. You can't impeach a POTUS simply for being a fool, with horrible ideas, no matter how dangerous those ideas are. Unless he commits some sort of crime, and leaves behind clear proof of it, we'll have to wait until November 2012 to fire him. And “crime”, does not include signing unconstitutional legislation. The same congress that would be his jury would be his accomplices in that, so there would never be an impeachment on those grounds, even if it were warranted.

I agree. I will bet the farm that Hillary runs in 2012 against BHO. I read a report that she has at least 8 paid full-time campaign staffers leftover from 2008.
