“Neither one would be eligible because Biden was chosen by Obama and elected as part of a team,”

Have you read the Constitution lately? If BO were to resign then Biden would become President. Pelosi would then become Vice President until Biden had appointed someone.

“Say what you will about Biden, but he’s not a Marxist or a Muslim “

True, he’s an idiot but not a traitor. Although he did sell his soul to BO to become the VP. Oh and I’ve read reports that Biden knew what BOs policies would be before accepting.

There is no way that a narcissist like Obama will resign (other than in a Nixon-type situation, to save his pension). Biden would be free to pick anyone over 35 to be the new VP, and might feel compelled to pick a black person to assuage anger in the black community...so maybe we'd get Barbara Lee or Sheila Jackson Lee as the new VP. Or perhaps his former colleague Carol Moseley Braun.

At least Black knows that Obama has had only 42 predecessors in office, not 43, but he doesn't know how to spell "kow-tow."

Who was Mo Dowd's uncle in the FDR administration?

I’ll wait for the analysis to tell me what he said. I’m tired of vomiting when I watch his speeches.

Pelosi would not become VP unless Biden nominated her and both houses of Congress voted to confirm the nomination. In the meantime the office of vice president would be vacant (as it was many times in our history before the 25th amendment was adopted—three times it was vacant for a space of 3 years and 11 months).

There has been a back and forth discussion regarding the matter which still hasn’t been resolved as Biden, himself, wasn’t elected on his own but as part of the Obama/Biden ticket and if Obama was not eligible then Biden wasn’t either since Obama chose Biden to be his running mate.

Thats a Constitutional crisis we certainly don’t need, but we have none the less.

Everyone should prove their eligibility before the election.

“...as Peggy Noonan, Ronald Reagan’s leading speech-writer”

Not leading speech writer..a speech writer.

Back then, NR slammed her for her self promoting conceit.

Noonan joins Frum in the dustbin of people who used conservatism to get ahead and stab it in the back at the worse time.

People tried but were told they had “no standing”. After the election and before the meeting in January people tried but again they were told they had “no standing” Doesn’t the Declaration of Independence begin with the words, “We the people, in order to form a more perfect union....” If the people don’t have standing then who the hell does????????????????

When we started doing the NFL picks on FR, I discovered my picks weren't nearly as good as I thought they were before I started putting them down where everyone could see them. Most of us have a tendency to forget our bad predictions and only remember the good.

A year ago, Peggy was leg-quivering along with Matthews, but now, in her oh-so-thoughtful way, she's discovered she was bamboozled by a con artist.

And a year ago she was saying some pretty nasty things about Sarah Palin and conservatives. Noonan is an self promoting opportunist just as she was in the 80s.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s no forgiveness for her. She’s dead to me.

The death of the “race card”. No, lefties will continue to drop the race card, but it is no longer trump. In fact, the first person who drops the race card is now the loser in any debate. For proof, look at Olbermann’s ratings.

The death of the “fascist” card. Yeah, all those mouth breathing knuckle draggers in fly-over country like... Massachusetts...

The death of the MSM. Never again will the American people allow such an egregious dereliction of duty on the part of the people who are supposed to vet candidates and ask them the tough questions before they get elected.

I wish you weren't dreaming but JJ and Sharpton have a warehouse full of pallets of brand new race cards. Ditto fo the other two issues too.

I can buy that. I seldom pay any attention to Noonan at all, although every time I hear her name I think of Caddyshack.

She is kind of a batty old aunt that people visit out of hopes she'll leave them something in her will, and reading one of her columns is like enduring one of those visits where she waxes poetically over politics while telling you the foibles of each of her fifteen cats.
