Can We Please Stop Labeling Liberals “Elite?” (Republicans outscore Democrats)

In a survey released October 14, 2009 – just three months ago – the liberal-leaning Pew Research Center ran a “News IQ Quiz.”

It probably didn’t surprise the Pew staff to learn that a “partisan knowledge gap” existed between Democrats and Republicans.

But it surely horrified them to realize that the gap favored… Republicans.

On fully ten of twelve “News IQ Quiz” questions asked, Republicans demonstrated deeper basic knowledge than Democrats, with respondents tied on one question and Democrats leading on only one of the twelve.

In other words, the hard survey data confirms what anyone familiar with socio-economic issues already suspected: if anyone earns the label “elite,” it is actually more conservative Americans.

Agree with your post. Pew shows Republicans to be more well informed, while other surveys touted by liberals show libs to be more credentialed, with more Ph.Ds in off-the-wall areas. Liberal elitism comes from their firm but unsupported belief that credentials demonstrate intelligence, not actual knowledge.

Liberals own the DNC, Universities, the ABA, the AMA, AARP, public schools, a large web of international leftist organization, the UN, race and sex inequality law and organization, the entertainment and media industry, and most of the large foundations.

They have used this money, law, organization and power to impose a culture of political correctness on large businesses/corporations. It is true that conservatives make the world go round but it is true the world is dominated by the minority of liberals who have made liberalism their careers.

Conservatives are too busy working and inventing to create this kind of well funded busy body, cultural engineering, oppressive organization and dominance on the US and the world.

Conservatives do not believe in competiting with the Left to oppress and hate people who are politically incorrect from our point of view. Conservatives turn on each other like snakes when any conservative tries to do this because we beleive in liberty. We don’t believe in world government so why would we be running around the UN with schemes of a world government to dominate the economic, political and social rule over all the people of the world.

In education, Liberals do not even bother to hide their intolerance for intellectual diversity and honesty - it is pc all the way if you want to be a professor. Look at climategate, for a recent example. Can you imagine a real conservative intellectual oppressing people who belief in climate change? No. They would let the science go where it honestly goes. It would not go where the Left has directed it to go by faking and manipulating temperature data.

To make a long story short - liberals are the elite who run the global political, social and cultural organizations and most media, arts, race, sex, law, education and public culture in the US.

One other thing - without conservatives they would live in tents and starve to death.

I usually refer to them as self-appointed elites.
