Ithaca, NY Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, will speak at Cornell University's senior convocation May 29.
Pelosi, the first woman to be speaker of the House, represents San Francisco in Congress.
The senior convocation, part of graduation weekend at Cornell, is open to the public.
What a non-article from the Post-Standard. That has to be one of the all time shortest articles I’ve ever seen them publish. A run over cat would have gotten more coverage.
And for the laughs, read the comments following the article.
Makes sense. this last year I had to listen to David Plouffe at our daughter’s graduation there.
oh boy! PING
she will be right at home in the People’s Republic of Ithaca
Yikes. That must have been ten miles of bad road.
Evil begets Evil
They’ll love her there, and as Ithaca is in the Diocese of Rochester, she will be having no Bishop problems during this visit either.
You just can’t make this stuff up fast enough.
**she will be right at home in the Peoples Republic of Ithaca**
Thanks.. now I don’t have to say it... but ...you’re RIGHT!!
Well, Kim Jong-il wasn’t available...
Will she even have a JOB by then? LOL!
RE: “She’ll fit right in in Ithaca.”
March 15 update..... there is currently a Cornell suicide watch going on — several students have committed suicide there recently — not shocking, really, given what a vile place Ithaca is.
