Poor guy - I guess this means he won’t be going to the Burning Man festival This year.

Oh, to be a Conservative in Portland! This Darwin Award Winner isn't too far different in the vehemence of idiocy as a myriad of my fellow citizens.
"We gotta get outa this place", oh what a song for Portland Conservatives.

Certainly he was crazy, if he weren't, he would have been wearing fur so he wouldn't have needed to set himself on fire to keep warm.

Not only did this goofball set himself on fire AND got pepper sprayed by the cops, but he was admonished post-mortem by PETA for having a BBQ.

First, let me allow myself to be admonised by the "Lighten Up, Francis" response that I'll undoubtedly receive ...
I don't like PETA, I believe that Global Warming is a socialist hoax ..
However ... I sense that profound grief should be expressed for this man who killed himself in an agonizing fireball.
He was obviously demented, and insane ... But let's stop laughing at this man ...
Who here (tonight) knows his soul's turmoil or horrible grief that created the madness ... that caused him to take his own life in such a terrible, horrible way ...
Was he brainwashed by PETA ? Obviously.
But normal, well, psychologically-well-adjusted people don't respond to "political indoctrination" by committing an absolutely horrible suicide ...
And what of his family ... perhaps his wife and children ... or perhaps dad or mom ?
What of their terrible grief tonight ?
I'm not trying to "belittle" or "shame" anyone at this Post tonight ... believe me ...
But a small amount of respect to this man's mental tragedy and his family's grief ... is in order

Dying for a cause is one thing, murdering yourself is another thing entirely, and against God’s law.

Just think of it as seasoning.

If you can’t afford to keep warm one way, then try another?

He was just screaming and asking for help. What did he think was going to happen when he lit himself on fire? That it was going to feel good?
Anyone who does something that royally stupid ought to not bother asking for help. It's a bit late by that point.

Yes it was stupid but still he gave it up making his point.

Salt also does a good job of smothering fire. She should have poured a few 50 lbs sacks on him.

What a DEEP thought and funny at the same time.
Post of the day!

Build a man a fire, and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.

THE FIRST PETA MARTYR
From Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities"........Carton mounts the steps to the guillotine saying " 'Tis a fur, fur better thing that I do than I have ever done. 'Tis a fur, fur better rest that I go to than I have ever known".
He meets his self-imposed fate.
