Union Boss to members: STFU, you MF's (Video- Language Warning) in California
SHTF newsletter ^ | 1/28/10 | Mac Slavo

On March 31st, NUMMI, the UAW-represented joint venture between Toyota and General Motors, will be closing its doors in California, throwing another 4,700 United Auto Workers out of work.

With 80% of the UAW members upset with their union, this past Sunday, the Union of Ailing Workplaces (aka UAW) held a membership meeting that turned into a shouting match between rank-and-file members and their union leadership.

At one point, one UAW leader (identified as Javier Contreras) yelled at the crowd, telling them to “…Shut the f*ck up, you motherf*ckers!…”

Things got so bad, that UAW leaders had to call the police to restore order.

Obama, Obama, Obama. Where’s the bailout stash, Obama! Hope and fricking change! These stupid people thought that could kill and cook the golden goose and are too dumb to know they are the first to be hungry. They voted for that B-word in the Oval Office. Now they have what they deserve. Too bad that other folks have to pay for their stupidity. The rank and file of the Democrat party are mindless drones.

Beck and others been saying it for awhile now, it’s not the majority of union workers that are giving, and have been, unions a bad rap, it’s the union heads.

They have elections for the leaders don't they? Are they rigged? (Kinda a dumb question maybe but if enough voted against the leadership, I don't think they could rig them)

Wow...

Sold their liberty and productive individuality to the collective. The collective short changes them. They still have a sliver of liberty their souls and they are pissed. This will be repeated as the unsustainability of their benefits kick in for a host of Unions. It will happen on an even grander scale when the bill comes do for all the Entitlements. And they said the Tea Party people were unruly mobs.

it will come sooner than that.

Wait until these public sector unions realize that state gov’ts are broke, and the taxpayers have no more to give.

Cops, firefighters, teachers on strike...yep. That will be the time for preps, ammo, and all the rest. Then STHTF for sure.

Yeah , unions aren’t mandatory unless you don’t want to have an “accident” at work or just an old fashioned ass whipping in the parking lot. Where did you work as a “ non union scab” next to a union worker?

Not sure to be honest but who knows. I was a member of the Boilermakers and Shipfitters Union when I worked at Norfolk (Portsmouth) Naval Repair Yard many years ago. When Clinton came into office and they downsized the military, many Navy yards came up on the block to be closed (part of the base closures crap)...at any rate, when union elections came up, rumors circulated that they were "stacked." Meh, no longer a memebr of ANY union.

While it sucks for anyone to lose his/her job, I can't weep when it is a union job, because each lost union job represents a few less dollars being used to fight conservative causes.

Union membership is not mandatory anywhere in the US

How do you figure? In many union shops in non-right-to-work states you will be fired if you do not join the union within a month or so of employment. Do you mean that it is not mandatory in the sense that one doesn't have to choose to be in a union?

You had better not market yourself as a tradesman in the newspaper without certificication or you will get a “visit.”
~~~
LMAOROF!!!,,,My first job when I got out of the Army in ‘69
was as a SCAB at the local rag as a pressman,,,
IIRC there was about ten of the twenty of us that were hired
to bust their strike that were Nam’vets just home from the
war that needed a job to feed new families,,,
It was great fun to chase WWII vets out of the driveway,,,
Every nite at 7:00 THEY got a visit...;0)
Nice bunch of people all around.
That is what happens when you sell your soul to be part of a collective. You lose your right to speak and act for yourself.
Your union can run an industry into the ground, then when things go sour, the union bosses all pack up, shrug their shoulders and say “Hey, we tried to get you at 25% pay raise across the board, but they decided to close the factory instead. So sorry. Have a good life...” as they jump on a plane to go assist some union somewhere else.
I am not going to be as hard as others for not understanding the byzantine union rules if you’ve never lived in a non-right to work state.
Any sane human being would conclude that you could pursue your occupation, regardless of this stuff. It’s just you would have to live there and breathe it in order to understand it.
It’s like the mob has a hold on your ability to earn the prevailing wage. Think of it that way and you’ll “get it.” And yes indeed, they WILL and DO come to your home at 8:30 at night, right in the middle of the Cavs game.
I remember during the Reagan era when he was fighting inflation you would hear these kind of numbers of unemployment. I think it was Sams Club that laid off 10,000
I just see a possible pattern not back with hard numbers. The unions have been saving their jobs for decades. Obama thinks he can control this. You know how it goes you have me.
***Cops, firefighters, teachers on strike.***
This possibility must have already registered with the Obama administration. i.e. Valerie Jarrett et.al. were racing to put out their talking points of having “saved or created thousands of jobs for teachers and firefighters”
The teachers are vital for their propaganda, the cops & firefighters are vital to control public protest.
We are not stupid!!!!!!
Can I say this?
Most of these union folks (yes, even in CA) are regular blue collar Americans. They go with the union because it’s their’s and because it’s their livelihood. At the end of the day, most of these people are what we would call “Reagan Democrats.” They are middle class and they are petrified.
We saw this phenomenon during the Scott Brown thing in MA. All the photos of SEIU members for Brown. There isn’t only a disconnect between Obama and us; there’s one between these union leaders and their members. The leaders are hollering for benefits and severence but the members want to keep their JOBS.
Most of these members have more in common with us than with Pelosi and Obama.
