he real scandal surrounding the failed Christmas Day airline bombing was not the fact that a terrorist got on a plane -- that can happen to any administration, as it surely did to the Bush administration -- but what happened afterward when Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was captured and came under the full control of the U.S. government.
After 50 minutes of questioning him, the Obama administration chose, reflexively and mindlessly, to give the chatty terrorist the right to remain silent. Which he immediately did, undoubtedly denying us crucial information about al-Qaeda in Yemen, which had trained, armed and dispatched him.
We have since learned that the decision to Mirandize Abdulmutallab had been made without the knowledge of or consultation with (1) the secretary of defense, (2) the secretary of homeland security, (3) the director of the FBI, (4) the director of the National Counterterrorism Center or (5) the director of national intelligence (DNI)

As much fun as it is to blame Obama, we really cannot. The (egregious) fact is that he wasn't even informed of the incident until long after the SOB was Mirandized....
Which in a way is even more disturbing: this is an indication of the the fundamental culture of the entire Obama administration. They're dangerously naive.
They're not all pro-terrorist ... what they really are is completely and willfully blind as to the nature of the terrorist threat.

I watched the CSPAN video. As each answered they where not consulted.
Correction needed. I watched the video as the Secretary of Homeland Security, Director of National Counterterrorism Center, and the Director of National Intelligence where asked if they where consulted. They three answered no.
Onyx Hubby is also a psychiatrist and concurs with CK. If I can remember what she posted. Hubby said that when this type of person crack he breaks into lots of little pieces and never recovers.

I must admit that, watching Obama walk onto stage (any stage), I wonder if he isn't even more than a pathological narcissist.
There are times (plenty of them) when my mind tells me he's the Devil's spawn.
I know, I know...it sounds loony, but that is the first thought that pops into my imagination.
And it's not because he's a Democrat or Marxist or even a politician. It's because he reeks of dishonesty and lies. It's because there's something profoundly loathsome about the way he adores/worships himself above everything else...above his Country, the Americans people, and even his own family.
Of all people I have ever encountered, he is head and shoulders above them all in terms of pure reptilian vileness (my apologies to lizards and shakes).
More and more, when I see him on TV (and, frankly, I immediately turn the channel), I get the feeling that I am in the presence of pure evil.
