W.H.: GOP accountability coming
Politico44 ^ | 01/29/10 | MIKE ALLEN

From POLITICO Playbook -- The White House plans to step up efforts to hold Republicans accountable for cooperation. Said communications director Dan Pfeiffer: "There are 59 Democratic Senators now. They're at 41, the Republicans now have a responsibility to govern. In Year 1, they sat on the sidelines and were willing to leave governing in this challenging time to Democrats alone. They have a responsibility now to partner with the President, to try to get things done for the American people. With 59 Senators, it is mathematically impossible for Democrats to do everything on their own. So Republicans can either try to block all progress on all issues at this critical time -- or they can step

BLOCK! DELAY! FILIBUSTER! The fewer laws coming out of the Senate, the better.

They have a responsibility now to partner with the President

Total BS. They have a responsibility to accurately represent their constituents, who vehemently OPPOSE the president.

Like the "axis of evil" (aka Hussein, Pugliosi and the Dingy One) even bothered asking for assistance? This crap is even funnier than Algore having wet dreams over AGP or his "invention" of the Internet.

I wonder if they will List the Amendments and Legislative bills suggested by the Republicans ... all those that were turned down flatly this past year. That the Republicans have not been contributing and that they are the “Party of NO” is WH-BS ... If the Republicans open their mouth, they are told to shut it, they offer an amendment to a bill, it is summarily defeated. They go to room where the information is being discussed and the door is locked. This is just WH rhetoric ... best to avoid it.

Happily the general public seems to be finally seeing through all the Barbra Streisand that Big Media and the Dems have been pushing. None of the laws of the last year have been the fault of the Republicans. The public see that Zero and his minions are LYING! Finally.

If Republicans act like Democrats, why do we need two parties? That was the message in 2006.
The ‘Progressives’ need to work with the Republicans to restore the ‘fundamentals’ (private property security- GM/Chrysler Dealerships, sanctity of contract law, unsecured vendors before secured bondholders) that Obama destroyed at the beginning of his regime.
If the Right agrees with this bunch of leftists, it will further move the center leftward. We won’t recognize this country in 4 years.

There is a Republican HCR plan that has been reintroduced this week. Perhaps now the democrats will notice it.

Forty-one rubber stamps will be issued as soon as we get around to seating Scott Brown.

The Republicans owe Obama nothing.Their allegiance belongs to the constitution of the United States.Nothing more.

All of a sudden Obama needs Republican help after months of treating them like dirt.

I hope the republicans tell him to take a hike off a short pier.Let him clean up the disaster he’s created.

This is just unbelievable. They had a super majority in the Senate that they cheated to get, a 40 seat majority in the House, and STILL couldn't pass anything, and now the Republicans have to cooperate or it's their fault if things don't pass. Goebbels wouldn't have been proud or jealous of these people; he would have been shocked at their chutzpah.

THIS is their new strategy?

Painting Republicans as the party in power?

Really?!?

Good grief, we live in frigging bizzarro world.

He's such a bloody mental case, this is getting scary, and I fear will not end well.
I can see him trying for some grand power grab using executive authority in a "national emergency" and the US military grabbing his butt out of the White House.
Will not be pretty.

Failure to co-operate in the destruction of America is no crime. Hold all the pols accountable. Those that join Obama in the destruction should be accountable for TREASON.
