Iran Will Deliver Telling Blow To Global Powers On Feb. 11
Press TV ^ | 31 Jan 2010 | Unattributed

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.

Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.

The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.

Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.

They might have enough fissionable material to do a nuke. Not that it is likely to work very well, but efficiency of the device is not really the point. It does not seem that any of these third world detonations are very good at yields.

As always, they are political weapons, versus actual weapons. By that I mean that you really can’t use them against others without being turned to a cinder yourself(not that some of the clergy would care given that they’re mostly Twelvers). My guess is that they’ve acquired some more fireworks from the Ruskies that they’re going to set off. Honestly, they’re like a bunch of kids on the Fourth of July. Chances are, they’re going to get their hands blown off eventually. They are not exceptionally bright on such matters, but with the literacy rate being exceptionally low in Iran, there is not going to be a lot of political responsibility on matters such as this.

Iran's "leader," Ahmadinejad, is not running the country. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Assembly of Experts, i.e., the mullahs, run the country. They are not nuts.

The problem is not an imminent Iranian attack, but rather, the failure of the US and its allies to stop Iran on its path to the development of a nuclear weapon. Deadlines have come and gone. It is doubtful that real tough sanctions can be passed by the Security Council. China and Russia will veto it. China is pissed about the recent announcement that we will be selling more weapons to Taiwan.

Not too long ago ..I think last month Israel was preparing the people...also handing out the masks etc. they do when threats are very high...but in this case Israel is the moving party.

Historically Israels northern border has been her weakest area...Syria’s been reinforcing Lebannon these past couple months on the border as well.

Iran has their nuke. Now we know why former President Bush met with Hussein The Kenyan yesterday at the White House.

OMG. I fear you may be right. That's why there is a sudden show of force and naval presence there. No wonder bambi is losing it.

If Israel and Iran were to lock horns, it would make sense for Israel to secure its northern border considering Hezbollah and Syria’s ties to Iran and their animosity in general towards Israel

WAIT A MINUTE, WAIT A MINUTE! HOW CAN THIS BE?

Didn’t the leftist liberals in this country promise that if Obama was elected everyone in the world would love us?

Could very well be. The Saudis wanted us to remove Iraq from Kuwait and take out Saddam, but they conveyed that message privately. I am sure the Saudis are very concerned about a nuclear Iran. And they have been concerned for some time about Iran’s influence with the large Shi’a population in its Eastern Province. They will not say it publicly, but I am sure that they would have no problem if Israel or the US took out Iran’s nuclear facilities. They might condemn us publicly, but they would certainly support it privately.

Yes, Ahmadinejad is their front man..like Bo is ours...there are always “others” making the decisions...but I will disagree that Iran wouldn’t fire...they would indeed at Israel...the religious leaders hate Israel as much as Ahmadinejad.

As for China...sure they’re peeved over Taiwan and at the US as well now..security won’t pass sanctions for exactly as you say..However, how far this will go is anyones guess...Only Russia has the clout with Iran to hold them back if they decide to act...

Bush and Baker were able to convince Israel to stay out of the war even after they were attacked with Scuds.

And who in the Obama adminstration has the same type of relationship with Israel?
