The GOP needs to make big pickups in most statehouses. This will be critical for redistricting that begins next year to solidify the GOP hold on the House for the rest of the decade.

There’s a more recent poll (1/2010) for MD-Gov.

O’Malley - 48
Ehrlich - 39
Undecided - 13

In NM, Pete Domenici, Jr. has entered into the Gubernatorial race (on the GOP side), which is giving expected Dem nominee Lt Gov. Diane Denish heartburn. Domenici’s father beat Denish’s father in 1972 for the Senate seat, and she doesn’t want a second-generation repeat. I think we have a very strong chance to take this open seat.

Poll Round-up: No Safe Democrat Governors in Any Major State.

It's Karma, plain and simple. What these traitors to their constituents have wrought upon themselves deserves not a bit of sympathy. They bowed at the altars of Pelosi and Obama and now will have their disregard for doing what voters wanted to do assuring the end of their political careers.

Very pleased to see the poll numbers for Tom Corbett. He was the only Republican to win statewide office in the utterly horrible year of 2008. Hopefully, his poll numbers will have no direction to go but up as the sleezeballs in the state legislature are perp-walked before the courts.

I'm sort of hoping for Dan Onorato to with the Jackass nomination as he is an equally boring candidate but without the character.

Face it, Rendell won two terms not because he was popular, but because the Republicans ran boring opponents.

I don’t understand the list. Why 2012? The more pressing, IMO, are the states that have their election in 2010, because these governors will have a hand in redistricting the political map.
