I would rally behind her any day...
LOL! You and Rush!
I disagree. We don’t need to rally behind her. The solid conservative in the race is polling great against Reed. We don’t needs a “Sometimes my baby” candidate. The difference between the top two candidates on the GOP side is almost as stark as between Crist and Rubio and Lowden isn’t a Rubio. I don’t think she is a bad candidate but she is more of the Fiorina mold. There is no reason to go for the soft rich candidate this year especially if you want a real change in the Senate. If you are tired of Snow,Collins, McCain, Graham and others then you certainly don’t want to rally behind the weaker ideological candidate if polling is on your side.
Does she believe that without the right
to life, all other rights are meaningless?
While I believe that either Sue Lowden or Danny Tarkanian can defeat Harry Reid in November, Sue Lowden is more of a proven commodity and will not go wobbly in the Senate.
In addition, it should be noted that since 1986 there has only been one pro-life female in the U.S. Senate (Liddy Dole, whose single Senate term ended a year ago). The pro-life movement needs pro-life female Senators so that the media cannot ignore the fact that a larger percentage of women than men are pro-life and that it’s nonsensical to use the words “abortion” and “women’s rights” in the same sentence.
I wonder if this Lowden is related to Governor Frank Lowden of Illinois. http://www.lib.niu.edu/1994/ihy940460.html
I didn’t realize she was a former Miss American. Rush is definitely on a roll about Miss Americas.
It isn’t personal. I just don’t think gender should be an issue. If she were a Michelle Bachman you’d better believe I’d be for her. The problem I have is the more I search the more she is described as a moderate and the last thing we need is to go into this election filling the Senate with new “Moderates” or liberals in the case of Mark Kirk where we have absolutely no reason to. I wouldn’t be upset if she won the nomination but for now I’m supporting the outsider and the guy who everyone is calling too conservative.
Well no we don't all know that. Last I checked polls on this race anyone not Harry Reid could win even with only the cash lying around in their couch.
I don't begrudge the campaign on behalf of a friend. I am uneasy with knowing she was picked by the same genuises that sided with Specter and Crist. May not be her fault, but there it is. I'm just an outsider though. We're just talking about money as far as I'm concerned. My unease about being an establishment pick doesn't mean a lot since I don't vote in that state.
Bump!
Wouldn’t it, maybe, be a good idea for Mr. Anuzis to explain the last couple of election cycles in Michigan before he gives advice to Nevada Republicans?
Tark is a nice guy, but he isn’t all that conservative - his real world experience is a bit lacking at it shows when I’ve met him. We wouldn’t be talking Tarkanian without his dad.
[ Sue Lowden is more of a proven commodity and will not go wobbly in the Senate.]
That’s my take too.
If Sue Lowden is for less taxes, less spending, less government, pro-military, pro-life and anti-amnesty, she’s got the right policy agenda and every conservative should consider her candidacy.
How exactly is Tarkanian more conservative than Lowden?
Lowden is her married name.
My take is that she does.
Yup!
Also, read her web page -- she seems to hit all the issues that matter in the Right way: Here
