The funny thing is that at the end of the story the writer points to solar as a possible replacement for wind. LOL I guess they'd just have heating elements built into the photovoltaic panels to melt the snow - like the rear window defroster on your car. Yeah, that's the ticket...

Carbon emissions would be soot and black smoke. Carbon would still burn. CO2 is carbon that has already burned and the carbon is rendered stable by two stubborn oxygen atoms.
"Carbon emissions" is just a propaganda term to fool people into believing a lie.
It's not like cars are driving around belching soot and black smoke. You are so right.....They are trying to get the stupids out there to think that the 0bama administration wants to get rid of black sooty emissions from smokestacks and trucks and automobiles. What evil schemers! It was always called CO2 emissions. They are waging a war of words

“Earl Pomeroy (D-N.D.) has a bill that would keep the EPA from regulating greenhouse gases at all unless approved by Congress.”
Here's catch, Dems want the CO2 Cap And Trade First. If they are serious, congress would declare CO2 a non pollutant.

Here's catch, Dems want the CO2 Cap And Trade First. If they are serious, congress would declare CO2 a non pollutant.I am not about to let some Washington bureaucrat dictate new public policy that will raise our electricity rates and put at risk the thousands of coal-related jobs in our state, said Pomeroy.
So the idea is, "We don't want the EPA to raise our electricity rates, we want congress to do it?"
Maybe, but in any case I don't think they have 30 votes for crap and trade in the senate, let alone 60.

Not one Repub voted for the cap-n-trade in the house did they? If so who? Mark Kirk (R.) from Illinois' 10th Congressional District.
Kirk won the Republican Senate primary in Illinois last week and is now running for Senate.
I live in Illinois, it's time to STOP MARK KIRK.
