Latinos say their votes could tip 40 congressional races (SEIU, La Raza warn McCain, GOP on amnesty)

WASHINGTON -- Failing to overhaul the nation's immigration system, currently a backburner issue for Congress and President Barack Obama, could play a pivotal role in key mid-term election races in November, according to a new study on Latino voting patterns.

The report by America's Voice, which supports comprehensive new immigration policies, says revising the laws is the defining issue for Latino voters. The report says that progress - or the lack thereof - in revamping immigration laws and regulations could affect as many as 40 congressional races in areas with sizeable Latino populations, including the re-election bids of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., just two years ago his party's presidential candidate.

"Immigration reform is a litmus test in the Latino community," Eliseo Medina, the president of the Service Employees International Union, said during a conference call about the study.

Latino leaders and groups are similarly frustrated with Republicans. They feel that the GOP is promoting and campaigning on an anti-immigration agenda in hopes of attracting so-called "tea party" voters who prefer stricter policing of the U.S. border to a comprehensive policy, which they consider to be amnesty for illegal immigrants already in the country.

"The president did make a promise to the Latino community, and it has not been forgotten," said Janet Murguia, president and chief executive officer of the National Council of La Raza, a leading Hispanic lobby. "We're also looking to Congress - Democrats and Republicans - particularly Republicans, who can't just continue to say 'no' ... we'll hold all these elected officials accountable."

US Presidents have been secretly working to integrate the US and Mexico into a common political and economic unit.......globalist RINOs allowed California to sink into a third world hellhole.....

Illegals in California start pocketing from the day they violate out borders. They are costing Cali billions each year from schooling to health care to direct payments.

The Center for Immigration Studies (using estimates developed by the National Academy of Sciences), calculates that over a lifetime, the average adult Mexican immigrant will collect $55,200 more in government services than he or she will pay in taxes.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates Hispanic illegal immigrants are a net cost to the country as a whole of $45 billion. FAIR estimates that the net cost to state and local governments for the education, incarceration, and emergency medical care of illegal aliens is $36 billion.

The net cost to California is $8.8 billion, or $1,183 per native household (for Texas it is $3.73 billion, or $725 per household).

In California alone, the heavy cost of free medicine for illegal aliens - the overwhelming majority of whom are Hispanic - forced 60 hospitals to shut down between 1993 and 2003; many more are on the verge of collapse.

=========================================

RIDING THE US GRAVY TRAIN---THE SAGA OF PEDRO An illegal alien w/ wife and five children violates our borders. He gets a job mowing loans for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that low wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, so each year, he files an Income Tax Return to get "EITC---earned income credit" of up to $3,200 scot-free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps and no deductible, no co-pay free health care. His children get free school breakfasts and lunches. The kids qualify for monthly SSI checks by faking ADD; the illegal and his wife get SSI by faking being aged, blind or disabled; SSI qualifies them for Medicare.

Plus illegals don't have to worry about pricey items like car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance, and they qualify for relief from high energy bills.

ALL OF THAT IS COLLECTED WITH JUST ONE IDENTITY Evidence shows illegals establish several identities with phony SS nos and fake documents (which these "poor immigrants" buy from document brokers for several thousand dollars). All those phony identities vote, too.

The illegal gravy train increases our costs---state and federal taxes, homeowners and auto insurance, utilities and healthcare, so that greedy illegals---violating our borders with their hands out----can enjoy a perpetual free ride on the US gravy train.

I do too but basically in deep S. Texas, they regularly (let’s say every election cycle) vote Democrat, so it doesn’t matter if they’re against abortion and some other bedrock issues (not so sure about being anti-illegal alien either), they still support (by their votes) the Democrat platform and agenda.

Before the ad campaign against California Proposition 187 denying illegal aliens government services (other than emergency medical care and primary education), the majority of registered Hispanics surveyed actually supported it. As it was, the best estimates I saw were that 20-30% actually voted for it.

Take a trip to McAllen, TX one day and just cruise the “Valley”, you’ll see how much like Mexico it has become, and that includes the politics.

I suspect it is similar to what happens as a colonizing Islamic population starts to grow to critical levels.

IDENTITY THEFT CENTRAL Two Texans busted in bogus ID operation in NJ

NORTH BERGEN, NJ -- July 21, 2006 -- Pelcastre brothers, Angel and Jorge, Dallas, Texas, were a walking threat to US national security, expert document forgers who, for a few thousand dollars, could give anyone a new identity, authorities said. The Texas brothers turned a NJ hotel room into a business office and were readying a massive cache of fake Social Security cards for delivery to a local NJ identity broker.

The Texas brothers were a "one-stop shop" for a myriad of fake US documents, including birth certificates, Social Security cards, driver's licenses for any state in the US, passports and resident alien cards, said state police. Officers happened upon two cars bearing Texas plates in a NJ hotel parking lot. Authorities wouldn't identify the NJ hotel by name for fear it would spark retribution. The Drug Interdiction Task Force, regularly runs checks.

The Texas brothers were followed to a NJ office supply store nearby where they purchased computer supplies. Officers then followed the Texans to a NJ storage facility in Secaucus, NJ, where the Texans loaded several boxes into a car. One of them stood lookout. Authorities approached the Texas brothers when they returned to the NJ hotel and questioned them separately. The Texas brothers consented to a search.

Police recovered laminating sheets with built-in security features, pages of blank documents waiting for fake names and information, finished documents, computers and software to create the fake IDs. All told, the haul was worth about $500,000 on the street. Police also recovered $6,000 in cash, which was the first payment from a NJ fake document broker for a shipment of 500 Social Security cards.

The majority of the 50,000=70,000 SUV’s in California are owned by illegal immigrants who have multiple ID’s and collect multiple benefits.

I’m just saying, when people say they want “legal” immigration, all a politician needs to do is make the illegal, legal.

You support Ted Kennedy’s 1965 immigration act and I despise it, you keep calling the original colonists “immigrants” which isn’t the same but even if you think they sinned and the Indians couldn’t keep them out, I don’t know why you want to punish us now as a form of revenge, besides, I’m Indian, so to your pro immigration types, that makes me one of the good guys over the evil, unstoppable, white people that created America from the British colonies.

If you don’t think that we have been overwhelmed culturally and that we are not over populated, then you are too young to remember the wonderful America before you got your Ted Kennedy immigration, I am well aware that as long we can produce food and water, and have enough open land to build on that we can continue to let the world flood in and cover our entire country with malls and taco stands, but personally I think that this last 100 million people we got since Woodstock, was overpopulation and to become a more culturally, and racially, divided India or China is not a good thing in my American view.

I’m sure that science could figure out how to maintain an additional 800 million exotic foreigners in Japan or Switzerland, or Belgium, but I would not wish that on those people and none of us would recognize what was left.

You really don’t remember the beauty and the hunting and fishing and camping of California when it was the days of the Beach Boys, convertibles and Governor Ronald Reagan, when California had a nice balance between population and geography, it was pristine and wholesome, not the Blade runner state of today. You see the destroyed, grungy, multi lingual, multi cultural, crowded, with no end in sight California of today as an improvement, I do not.

A question that you will not answer as you keep going back to a world of 400 and 500 years ago to justify your immigration policies, is there a limit for you and your types, or do you plan to keep importing settlers and colonists into our communities by the millions, forever.

No offense, but most of ‘em are going to vote for “free stuff” aka Democrat - anyways. So why bother accommodating them?

B.S.

There are plenty of Latinos who oppose amnesty for illegal aliens.

I grew up in Southern California. Witha small handful of exceptions, the latinos there are overwhelmingly Dim. Cubans tend to be conservative. Puerto Ricans, in my experience, tend to be Dims, as well. Luiz Gutierrez, a congress-critter from Chicago, is Puerto Rican and is a rabid leftist who is front and center of the push for amnesty and opening up the borders for a whole new wave of latinos from south of the border.

Latino community? I just wonder if white people will ever wake up or just keep pretending that race/ethnicity doesn't matter as we help to destroy this nation?

I believe if it were a city, East LA would be the second largest Mexican populated city in the world. BTW it doesn’t smell as bad as TJ. I have been in several areas of Mexico and all over LA and TJ was the worst. Took some French exchange students there 10 years ago and they didn’t want to get out of the car, after rolling down the window. Went out to the beaches instead and lobster village.
