Poll: 71% say Palin's unqualified to be president By Eric Zimmermann - 02/11/10 11:45 AM ET
Almost three quarters of Americans, including half of Republicans, think Sarah Palin is not qualified to serve as president, according to a new Washington Post/ABC poll.
The poll also found Palin's approval rating at a new low, with just 37% holding a favorable opinion of her. Meanwhile, 55% of respondents have an unfavorable opinion of the former Alaska Governor.
A full 71% of respodnents, including 51% of Republcians, say Palin is not ready to occupy the White House. Palin has said it would be "absurd not to consider" a 2012 bid against President Obama.
Exactly two-thirds of independents say Palin's not qualified, along with an overhwelming 91% of Democrats.
Meanwhile, the Tea Party movement receives tepid approval from the public. 35% have a favorable view of the movement, with 40% holding an unfavorable view. A slim plurality, 45%-36%, say they agree at least somewhat with the Tea Party's positions.
Are these the same people that want their ‘Obama money’?

If Obama’s an example of who’s qualified to be President, I’ll take Unqualified any day.
These are the same folks who just released a poll that says 60%+ of the American people favor health care reform.
100 percent of those polled are probably not qualified to vote.

Look, I like Sarah as a person and she has a very beautiful family, but she never should’ve resigned her seat as Governor. She should’ve at least finished her first term.
Either way, that did it for me. I’m supporting Senator Thune for now, but that could change.
Palin is MORE qualified and experienced than what is POTUS today!
