[Look, I like Sarah as a person and she has a very beautiful family, but she never should’ve resigned her seat as Governor. She should’ve at least finished her first term.]

Let’s see, if she followed your advice she’d be facing lawsuit number twenty right now, she’d be approximately a million dollars in debt with legal fees, she wouldn’t have time to speak at the Tea Party or on Fox. In short, she would be bankrupt and stuck in a no win situation.

In contrast, she’s made about $10 million, is a TV spokeswoman and drives the political agenda as a contender. Hmmmm, I’m not sure how much your advice is worth.

NPR this morning had a piece on how 2/3 of the people polled think that the Washington policies are going in the wrong direction. They never once mentioned Obama. Then they went into this Palin poll. It was almost as if they were saying “yea people don't like what the administration is doing but look at Palin’s numbers!”

If she were an ugly woman they wouldn’t say that.

If she was average looking and pro-choice her numbers would be a lot different, in multiple ways. But she is a double-edged threat to the NAGs.

I'm not sure where you got that information. But the internals of the poll cited give the following breakdown...

32% Democrat
26% Republican
39% Independant
3% Undeclared/Undecided

That's almost identical to every other poll I've seen. The fact of the matter is the Dems still enjoy a slight party ID advantage, although it's shrinking every month.

LMAO!!
I wonder how many of that “71%” thought that a community agitator with a 15-minute senate career was “qualified” to be president?

This ABC News/Washington Post poll was conducted by telephone Feb. 4-8, 2010, among a random national sample of 1,004 adults, including landline and cell-phone-only respondents...

...in DC, Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Montgomery, PG, etc., etc.

I have no way of knowing whether or not Palin is rejected by 71% of those taking the poll. I doubt that someone can be elected if 71% believe that she unqualified to be POTUS. I would have to see what other pollsters find. The election is not today, and maybe public opinion will change. I do not know how many of you remember Dan Quayle, but the MSM convinced the American voters that he was an idiot. The MSM is doing everything possible to convince the electorate that Palin is another Dan Quayle. The MSM just might have been successful. IF, and that is a big IF, they convince 50% of the voters that she is another Quayle, there is no way she will win an election.

Excuse me sir, can we ask you a few questions...do you think abortions should be paid for by the federal government...and do you think capitalism should be replaced with socialism...and is Fidel Castro your child-hood hero...and isn’t Obama our most patriotic President ever? If the answer to all of the above is yes, then we will assume that you do not think Sarah Palin is qualified to be President!

On January 10, at the same time Rasmussen first came out with a poll that had Scott Brown closing to just 2 points behind Marthe Coaklay, the pro-Coakley Boston Globe came out with this poll, which was clearly a fraudulnet poll calculated to stop Scott Brown's momentum and discourage Brown voters from even turning up to vote at all:

Hmmm........She was mayor of a town, head of a big department, governor of a state, drove the Good ol’ Boy network out of town, and raised a family while doing all of the above, yet the Zero, who never ran anything at all during his whole life but his mouth is qualified? Truly we are on the other side of the looking glass, Alice................

"Poll: 71% say Palin's unqualified to be president"

She can easily settle this by producing her COLB...

(I would pay good money to see her do that live on TV if someone asked her if she was "qualified" to be President!!!)

Boy, do they really think we don’t know who those that frequent these polls are? And they are scared to death of her because so many of us “common” people know where she is coming from. We come from the same place: love of God, love of family, love of country and self-reliant.

So, in your opinion, who is qualified to be President?

In a similar vein, who, among our last 10 Presidents, was qualified to be President when first inaugurated?

Palin MAY have been Quayled...it is hard to say...the times are far different now than they were at that time.

To me a LOT depends on how bad the economy gets by summer 2011. If it gets much worse, this kind of thing might actually become an advantage. People will be ready to look to “citizen” government again. But it is going to thing another leg down in the economy IMO.

I actually think Huckabee and Palin’s chances are tied to things being very bad. If things get a good amount worse, advantage Palin, if things get a LOT worse....like scared of the abyss worse...Huckabee could emerge. Never discount his ability to be the comforting pastor who will take you through the wilderness. He reminds me a bit of the Preacher character on 7th Heaven actually. The guy who doesn’t excite you in normal times, but if you thought the world was literally going to end, he calms the nerves.

Palin represents “shake them up” change. Huckabee is “Oh My God we are all going to die what are we going to do” smoother in chief. And that is NOT a joke....if things get REALLY bad, we will need someone who can keep the country from going off the deep end.

This is NOT an opinion of who SHOULD win, just a gaming of how the election will go...those are entirely different things. Perception and reality can live on different sides of the street.
