Debra Medina implodes on Glenn Beck's show
Kansas City Star ^ | 2/11/10 | By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Posted on 02/11/2010 2:54:28 PM PST by DallasBiff

Medina is facing off in a GOP primary with Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Medina's absurd comments to Beck about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 included this gem:

"I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that."

Perry and Hutchinson immediately ripped Medina for such ignorant comments

“...her wanting to do away with property taxes which you can deduct from your federal tax in lieu of sales tax which you cannot wasn’t a very smart move as well.”

Sales tax deduction extended through 2009

Congress extends the sales tax deduction, which aims to level the playing field for taxpayers in states without income taxes.

Both of you know that you will believe your own research and just argue with someone else’s.

This ain’t the third grade and I am not you teacher.

I knew Medina was a Truther since the start but did not have any proof in her own voice. We do now and yet there are still idiots arguing with it.

That is the way it works.

>>>Hope Medina keeps her support.<<<

The fact she answered as she did, and then tried to downplay her obvious doubts about 911 shows she is not very quick of mind.

We have enough of those already in politics - on both sides of the asile. Sounds to me she might rival Biden if elected.

Eaker says

“I knew Medina was a Truther since the start but did not have any proof in her own voice. We do now and yet there are still idiots arguing with it.”

Debra Medina says

“I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.”

I have never heard a 9/11 truther say this

You may not be my teacher but I thank you for the advice on how to use google

What I am interested in is a freeper that will not support his claims and instead thinks that he can simply tell people to research it themselves on the internet.

Even a third grader knows that isn’t the way it works around here.

Well she also said this BEFORE she said that:

GLENN: I have when I said that I was going to have you on, you can’t imagine the mail pro and con that I received. There was a theme that ran against you and that is you are a 9/11 Truther.

MEDINA: Well, there’s lots of mud that people would like to throw at Debra Medina and make stick. The truth is I’m an everyday ordinary person. I am fighting for the things that our founders fought for, those very basic principles of a constitutional republic, and I’m going to champion people that hold their government accountable, hold me accountable but that’s the first time I’ve heard that accusation. So that’s an interesting one.

GLENN: Right. Here’s then let me be more frank and ask you the question: Do you believe the government was any way involved with the bringing down of the World Trade Centers on 9/11?

MEDINA: I don’t, I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn. So I don’t I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard. There are some very good arguments, and I think the American people have not seen all of the evidence there. So I’ve not taken a position on that.

She dug a hole for herself and just flat out kept digging.

Oh, okay...I see.

Yeah, I doubt the .gov a lot. I suspect Army snipers were used to murder people at Waco, I believe Lonn Horiuchi deliberately murdered Vickie Weaver, I believe the CIA ran cocaine into South America and through Medina. I believe Danny Casaloro was murdered by people in the Clinton whitehouse, I believe the same of Vince Foster, I just don’t in any way believe the 9/11 truther nonsense.

Does that make me a truther? Dunno...

Ed

Here’s a big hypothetical that makes too much sense to just be a hypothetical...

Imagine you are Rick Perry. You’re the Governor of Texas. The extremely popular U.S. Senator you’re running against in the primary, Kay Bailey Hutchison, was supposed to defeat you handily this year. But because her campaign team is dumber than rocks, she’s squandered her massive popularity in one of the worst run statewide campaigns in United States history — and now you’re sitting pretty and the clear favorite to win the Republican Party primary nomination.

And then, you see your internal polls, and you see public polls — like the ones in this chart

Will you now admit that Medina is a Truther?

Would you have admitted it yesterday?

Here is Ron Paul barely sidestepping the question only a little better than Medina. It comes at the end.

Ron Paul

Ron Paul is smart enough to not come right out and say it, Medina not so much.

If you come back and say, "That is not good enough", which no matter what I posted you would, then you will know why I also do not show monkeys math problems.

Why would it necessarily have to be the Bush administration? You think the Clintons incapable of such duplicity? They of Fort Marcy Park and many Arkancides fame?

Not that I’m a Truther or a Bush fan- I’m very much neither- but it coulda been!

Nah! Too easy...She's probably been to Disneyworld...so she knows the "real" truth.../snicker

Another question, in the same category, would be to ask her if the Gulf of Tonkin incident was real...

IAC, scratch another airhead...Too bad. She sounded, from the transcript above, to be the kind of addled-brained nitwit the RNC usually supports to shore of the marvelous cadre of GOPers across the Nation.
