Debra Medina implodes on Glenn Beck's show
Kansas City Star ^ | 2/11/10 | By Yael T. Abouhalkah, Kansas City Star Editorial Page columnist

Medina is facing off in a GOP primary with Gov. Rick Perry and U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Medina's absurd comments to Beck about U.S. government involvement in 9/11 included this gem:

"I don’t have all of the evidence there, Glenn, so I’m not in a place, I have not been out publicly questioning that. I think some very good questions have been raised in that regard, there are some very good arguments and I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there, so I have not taken a position on that."

Perry and Hutchinson immediately ripped Medina for such ignorant comments

If I believed the government, or individuals within the government, were involved, I’d be pushing for a full-scale investigation, with prosecution and execution of all those involved, from GWB on down, for treason and mass murder.

But I don’t. No government is competent enough to keep such a secret, anyway.

The Marxist who attended a racist, black separatist church for 20 years...with NO tangable qualifications, and NO records - who somehow, someway was ELECTED President - begs to differ.

"It's cute. She said something really stupid and now she's trying to unsay it."

She's Joe Biden in a skirt!

“You posted radio banter.
Not relevant.”

Fair enough , I disagree

Beck stated at the start of the segment he did not endorse candidates

he indicated he did not think Kay was a good choice

then he said the choice was between Debra & Rick

GLENN:I know Kay Bailey Hutchison, forget about it. That’s just, I’m sure she’s a very nice lady. I’ve had her on the show before. I just, I’m not impressed with her at all. And again I don’t mean anything about her personally, I just don’t think she’s the answer for Texas. So I guess for me it would be between Debra and Rick.

He indicated Debra was to be written off the list

GLENN: I think I can write her off the list.

Then he said he could French kiss Rick right now

It is my take that was a De Facto endorsement of Perry

Every one can judge for themselves how they want to read it

It is the “answers” that she thought she came up with, or her idea that there was/is a conspiracy hiding the answers to her question, that should be troubling to any sane person considering voting for this moron.

Amen!

Even if in her devious heart the answer was yes, she should havew been intelligent enough to know that the only acceptable answer to give was no. She is incredibly stupid.

And another one bites the dust. Fine with me. We don’t need this kind of nonsense out there representing Republicans.

Another "what" bites the dust? An independent thinker who won't yield to the Trans-Texas Corridor? Isn't owned by lobbyists? Rejects the globalist agenda?

Just what have party-before-principle globalists Kay Bailey and Ricky-Boy done all these many years to distinguish themselves as "Republicans"?

Hutchinson, Perry, and McCain are ALL as much to blame for the nothing-but-"nonsense" we've seen out of the RINO-dominated wing of the GOP.

They ALL need to go. Time for fresh blood that's not beholden to special and globalist interests.

"All I can say is that Debra Medina is no Sarah Palin."

True: stick a fork in her, she's done!

OK Roy, I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.
Hope that’s good with you.
Thanks for the lively banter.

“I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way.” Which part of this is unclear, Perrybots?

What's "clear" is getting real confusing, ain't it? ;-)

Palin is on record as disfavoring "Amnesty," yet people read what they want/need to read into it.

"If you want the same ‘ol Republicans to get you the same ‘ol leftist government, then vote for Perry."

And if you want some kook channeling Howard Dean as governor, vote for Medina!

This question came out of the blue....nothing to do with the campaign. Of course she was taken back by the question. She thought she was going to be interviewed about her policies and what she would do if elected Governor. Beck was a jerk!!

EX-ACTLY.

I wonder if the thread-jockeys have listened in on the actual exchange between Medina and Beck? (of course if they're fans of RINOs Perry or Hutchinson it doesn't matter, does it?)

"I have never heard a 9/11 truther say this"

Matters not what she says after the fact: if she's not a "Truther" whackjob, she is dangerously incompetent when it comes to thinking about an interview question, and were she to have been the GOP nominee, ANY Dimocrat would cream her in a debate - even that goofy muzzie from Houston!

Excellent point. Not only dumb/paranoid/delusional enough to be a “truther” she was also mind numbingly stupid to think that the answer she gave would be acceptable.

Debra Medina was not one who could save this country from the hard left.

Maybe not, but what have Hutchinson and Perry done considering how long have these moderate RINOs been in office?

Medina may not be a national phenom, but isn't Texas enough? She won't be an career-entitled mannequin like either Perry of KBH either.

And she she as h*ll won't help the globalists build the Trans-Texas Corridor like Rick Perry.

Did you even listen to the Beck and Medina exchange?

Oh..and your characterization is off the mark. Medina handled the question MUCH LIKE Sarah Palin. How 'bout that?

The truth is, I was a Medina supporter up until today, but now I know we ducked a bullet here big-time:
we're danged lucky Medina imploded BEFORE she became the GOP nominee and gave the state over to the Dimocrats!

I usually think that Glenn Beck bears a disturbing resemblance to Howdy Doody, but today he has done the people of Texas a great service by exposing Medina for the incompetent goofball she so clearly is.

Fair enough

I have stated she did not handle the 9/11 ? well

Do I expect Debra to be 100% perfect , No

She clarified her position

I have no problem wit it

Maybe it was a good lesson for her and she will learn from it & come back stronger for it, time will tell
