Film 'proving Bible true' getting major expansion Moviemakers on eggshells:
WND ^ | Feb 12th, 2010

A film that could potentially verify the historical accuracy of much of the Bible is getting a major expansion, causing its producers to be extra sensitive to modern political concerns and anxious fans to wait even longer for its release.

With a new working title of "The Exodus Conspiracy," the movie was initially targeted for release in the spring of 2007. But, despite about 10 years of work, the producers have not launched it yet because the scope of the project has increased dramatically. But the film's creators, while not wishing to reveal every detail, say the motion picture has grown tremendously, now beginning at the time of Abraham and ending with today's news headlines direct from the Middle East. It even includes appearances by Israeli President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"We know how hot the real estate is. It's hot," said Pete Windahl, co-producer of "The Exodus Conspiracy." "We've got to be right."

Are you trying to claim there’s any evidence at all

that they can think things through further than from one beheading to the next?

What a shocking contention. Please let me know if any solid evidence of that crops up.

You were saying ...

The entire Arab justification for 88 years of relentless war against the Jewish people in the Holy Land, and their efforts first to prevent the rebirth of the Jewish nation there, and then to destroy it, rests on the claim that the Jews are alien European “settlers” in the Holy Land, while the Arabs are the “indigenous” native population, who have lived there “since time immemorial.”

You know... the land of Israel has never been without Jews actually living on the land. In fact, they've always been a major segment of the population of that area -- since the beginning. Although they had their nation destroyed back in the early centuries and were not controlling their own destinies, and living under other countries' control -- they were still living there, all that time, from then until now.

And so, there has never been a time that the land of Israel had no Jews living there. They've always had a major portion of the population living as Jews there.

It may have been desolate for many years, it may have been a "backwater area" for many years and it may have been neglected by many others for many years -- but -- the Jews have always been there.

So, I'm sorry to have to tell those Arabs that they've been fed a line of "hype" by those who are trying to deceive them into believing that the Jews came there at a later time. LOL... The Jews never totally left the land of Israel and have been there all along... :-)

And now more of them are coming back.

Not elderly. And I don’t know about my “hear” having anything in it. But I am literate, and I am a native speaker of English. Made a living writing for several years. People who aspire to write for publication ought to at least know what the words mean. And words do have specific meanings. Sorry, I have a low tolerance for ignorance and incompetence.

Yeah, that's very true. But, a lot of people would be surprised to find out that from the time of Jesus being here, until the present time -- that the land of Israel has never been void of Jews living there and they've also been a major portion of the population too.

I think a lot of people think that the Jews totally left the land of Israel and only recently came back again. The fact of the matter is that they never totally left -- there was always a "remnant" remaining in Israel.

Here's an interesting post from a lady who lived in Saudi Arabia with her husband, for a while, and as it has to do with Mt. Sinai being in Saudi Arabia.

Posted 08 October 2008 - 09:37 PM

Hi!

I wanted to share a story and a website with information on archeological evidence supporting a different location for the route of the Exodus. First, here is my story:

I lived in Saudi Arabia for about a year. My husband accepted a work contract working directly for a Saudi Sheik and he was there for 3 years. I joined him during the last year of his contract. I loved it because it was quite an adventure, and I didn't have to work, or drive. The Saudi's don't allow women to do either one. Work is in the home, and you are provided with a driver, which is a GOOD thing because the traffic there is like a ride at Disneyland! Very scary.

When I arrived, I prayed for the Lord to get us connected with other Christians. Any religion other than Christianity is forbidden there, so for a Christian, you have to go "underground"...The Lord answered my prayers soon after arriving. A nice British lady in the compound where we lived in Al Khobar visited to welcome me, and invited me to one of several underground churches. For a Westerner to be caught worshiping this way meant expulsion. For one of the many 3rd world workers there, it meant jail (very nasty), or worse - beheading. My husband was able to smuggle Bibles in for his workers though with God's help.

So many things happened there, but one of the best was that we were also blessed with meeting a wonderful couple from Louisana (Jim and Penny Caldwell), who were self taught "archeological" explorers, and they made some pretty amazing discoveries there. My husband had a "chance" meeting with Jim as he visited the vehicle repair facility my husband managed. It turned out they were both "gear heads" and they hit it off from the start. We became best friends and spent every weekend with them at their Saudi Aramco compound, playing and recording bluegrass gospel music and eating Fried Cajun Turkey as much as possible.

Jim and Penny shared some videos with us one weekend showing us the film they had been accumulating over several years proving the real Mt Sinai was actually in NW Saudi Arabia, and not where traditionally thought of. Every thing they shared blew our minds. They filmed all they could, and were even threatened at gunpoint and arrested on one of their “trips” into the desert. They were originally looking for the Ark of the Covenant, but soon discovered something completely different. They were able to leak some of their film out to others on their vacation trips home over the years, and much of what has been seen on TV and so forth is actually Jim and Penny's footage. We always wanted to go with them on one of their treks into the desert, but they wouldn't let us, as it was too dangerous.

When they came home for good they got involved in a documentary another man had already been working on for years about the SAME subject. They ended up being featured in this film. The producer is seeking funding for a world wide release now. I told them I would try and help, but so far I’ve failed miserably … If you want to take a look at the website for the film it is here:

http://www.exodusconspiracy.com/

On main page click "Video Library" and then use "slider" to find the clip “Danger”…my friends Jim and Penny Caldwell are featured there.

They came home for good, just in time for Hurricane Katrina, but came through it miraculously! Praise the Lord! They set up their own foundation and travel to churches and anywhere else they are invited to present their story. Here is their own personal website:

http://splitrockrese...ontent/Welcome/

I just wanted to share this with you all, especially with the time of the season being what it is. I hope you enjoy the websites.

Movies Matter

Why Michael Medved, America's "cultural crusader," thinks they do.

[ the following quote is about 15 paragraphs into the article... ]

Positive Jewish themes do make cameo appearances in the media, however. Last year's Hebrew-language, unashamedly Orthodox film Ushpizin (which made Medved's list of the 10 best movies of 2006) did surprisingly well. And this year, Medved is eager for the release of a documentary called The Exodus Conspiracy, featuring Bibi Netanyahu, Natan Sharanksy, and Jackie Mason. The filmmaker, Tim Mahoney, has assembled a great deal of extraordinarily haunting information that confirms the Exodus story," Medved says. "They believe they have pinpointed the real Mount Sinai in Saudi Arabia. They've even recovered chariot wheels. It's all authoritative and fascinating."

With several family members living in Jerusalem, Medved's connection to Israel is not just religious, but deeply personal. For the past four years, he has led listener tours of between 150-200 people to Israel with his wife, Dr. Diane Medved, a clinical psychologist. The tours are geared toward giving an overview of Zionist history while also teaching some essential tenets of Torah practice. (The Summer 2008 tour leaves July 19. Check www.michaelmedved.com for more details as they become available.) The Medveds are also popular speakers at Passover retreats across the country.

I used to be of similar bent.

In this case, I find your definitions overly narrow.

And I find your quickness to label such ignorant and incompetent . . . a little disturbing.

None of us have the same set of experiences or education.

DIFFERENT is not always BETTER or more anything but DIFFERENT.

Most of my PhD colleagues spell as horribly as I do.

Ignorance involves massive amounts of knowledge in our era. Everyone is ignorant about some things. We must pick and choose where to put our interest and energy.

Yeah, some publications . . . probably most . . . need better proofing. It’s nice to have polished publications.

Some character messed up my entry in the Who’s Who volume for that year. I wasn’t thrilled but it was probably good for my humility.

Incompetence . . . yeah, there’s an overabundance of it in needless ways to needless degrees in critical areas our era.

There’s also an overabundance of Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder.

Perhaps you’ve come across the little story . . . from memory very imperfectly . . .

The great PhD grammarian had fallen in a large hole in the middle of the road late at night.

Some Chimney sweeps or some such happened by and he called to them to help get him out of the deep hole.

They responded in coarse farctured English.

. . . which he instructed them to ammend.

They decided that they were too incompetent to get him out of the hole—that he’d best wait for someone with better English.

Life is too short to get too wound up about some things.

Agreed. God has always had a remnant remain there.

Even during the Babylonian captivity.

“Yes, but if there is a Mt. Sinai, that means that G-d gave the 10 Commandments to Moses, that there was an Ark of the Covenant to house the tablets (and a jar of manna and Moses’ staff), and that there was a Temple to house the Ark of the Covenant and to be the place from which the High Priest would lead the services commanded by G-d on behalf of the Jewish People.”

“Muslims already believe that.”

If they believe that, then why would they make such an effort to discredit the FACT that there was a Jewish presence in Jerusalem before Mo ham head? Take a look at a website that exists SOLELY to counter bogus Moslem claims to Jerusalem: http://www.eretzyisroel.org/~jkatz/templemount.html

How could a film prove the bible to be correct?”

It will probably show things like: a few or 10 years ago, when archeologists found the city of Jerico and the walls lay away from the city.

I’m just going by the thread title. It says that the film ‘proving Bible true’, I assumed it would do that, so I ask how.
