Defeated just two years ago as the Republican presidential candidate and with his bonafides as a true conservative again being challenged, John McCain finds himself in a struggle to get even his party's nomination for another term in the Senate.
Conservatives, independents and Tea Party activists are lining up behind Republican challenger and former talk radio host J.D. Hayworth, reflecting a rising tide of voter frustration with incumbent politicians. Only 40 percent of Arizonans have a favorable view of McCain's job performance.

Way too much of an airhead to ever realize what she's doing even if someone told her. Keep it up, Chubby. We need all the help we can get from anyone we can get it from to get rid of your Dad.
I think that Palin has to appear at least once for McCain. She owes it to him, unless he is decent enough to let her off the hook, which I rather doubt. But if she does appear, I doubt whether she will say anything against Hayworth. And I doubt whether she will do more than use the generalities she has always used about McCain. That he is a patriot, that he has given much for his country, etc.
I’m as critical of McCain as anyone, but I wouldn’t mind her doing something like that, out of gratitude and decent politeness.

This story brings a smile to my face. It would be a happy day, right up there with Scott Brown’s win. It’s time McCain discovered permanent retirement.

McCain is a waffler on global warming — not a visionary like a true conservative.
Time for Hayworth to make hay on that issue.
Has anyone else listened to those anti-Hayworth radio ads with the creepy lady with the gossipy smoker’s voice claiming McCain is our savior?
I almost broke my elbow trying to turn the radio off. The ads are just flesh crawling creepy. What kind of people would respond with a vote FOR McCain? I can’t imagine.
Is this the same John McCain that wanted to run as John Kerry’s VP? Or was that another John McCain.
