I almost didn't make it. I did not check my E-mail until 10:30AM today and found out volunteer work was already underway! Hoping to at least catch the tail end of things I rushed out to 3129 Cactus street. I had stopped by that address on Thursday only to see empty office space , a bare concrete floor and a large "For Rent" sign. Today when I got there it was a beehive of activity. Most of the volunteers were retirees who spent more time talking than working, but who could blame them? How often does one find oneself completely surrounded by sane people who love this country?
I met some fine people today, not the least of which was Mary Hayworth, JD's wife. JD himself was not there because he was in Florida. Mary's about 5 feet tall and blond. I could tell right away she's a firm supporter of her Husband's cause. "Things have just kept lining up, the Lord has some kind of plan for us" she said (or at least something close to that).
By the time I got there the carpet was already down, and must of the furniture was already assembled into cubicles. I helped move a bunch of heavy stuff around including a large wooden stage that had been built just out front. By the way we had a bunch of extra office panels. Anybody wanting some free ones can just drive on out and take what they'd like ,it's just piled out there by the trash can.
While we were working the call went out: come on out! It's picture time. Some of the volunteers out front had created some hand made signs. We grabbed a few for the picture. Late to arrive, at least I was in time to be in the shot.
I'm looking forward to putting out regular updates for this campaign. Until next time.
I'll have plenty of free time to help out in the coming months: My job evaporated this Monday when the owner declared bankruptcy. In addition to patriotism being a motive force in helping Hayworth replace McCain I now have another: revenge. If there had been a real conservative running against Obama, someone willing to let America know the truth about his communist rival, I'd be in better shape today along with millions of other Americans. If you'd like to help me help America by replacing a fair weather conservative with a real one, just mail me. I'm not broke yet but it's not good. I want to help JD win by working full time for him. Paid or not.
That would be a cool pic if somebody could make a little Mehgan Rino chasing behind daddy.
Is JD calling for massive budget cuts across the board, including all entitlements? If not, he is no better than any other politician you could put in McCain’s seat. He will continue to rob from those too young to vote to buy your votes today.
I made this graphic. Dumb as she is I'm uncomfortable including candidates kids. Would you hold the wimpy stupid whiny liberal Ron against Ronald Reagan?
Be sure to include signs on your hands. LOL. Great report. Getting McCain out of the Senate is a very important goal. As important as electing Senator #41 was. Step by step on as many fronts as we can cover.
I can't say for sure. I believe I'll have a chance to ask him tomorrow. I know he was against ALL the bail outs. Even the one Bush signed.
Whohoo! Goodbye McCain!
The difference is that she is purposely injecting herself into politics. The ballet boy did not.
Most of the signs were the universal symbol for “no left turn”. I agree Bumping McCain is as Important as the Scott Brown victory because it will send an equal earthquake to the Republicans that they had better be conservative. (Another one of the signs: JD Hayworth , the consistent conservative )
I’m not jumping and down over Hayworth. but if mccain wins, there’s a vote for immigration and a Permanent Democrat Majority.
Good for you, sorry about your job. I am seriously considering paying to attend the Lincoln Dinner in Havasu next Saturday where JD is the speaker.
BTW judging letters to the editor in our paper, the McCain radio ads are not going over well up here.
Is that your standard for all candidates? What candidates are calling for that?
I intend to be what little help I can financially to JDs campaign. I also have a long term goal in mind which involves returning the country to Constitutional governance, which I am sure you share.
I have been reading through Paul Ryan’s plan. I think it has the answers, but it requires enormous political courage. I very much want to find out who would actually be on board with difficult decisions and bother to be conversant with serious policy positions.
I’m going to shut up now before I become a big fat bore. LOL.
To tell the truth unless I ran I would not consider any candidate perfect. ;)
Scott Brown was not perfect but he was vote number 41 and a warning blow to the RATS. McCain is the titular head of the RINO's. Knock him down and conservativism will become the dominate force of the Republican party. For me, however , it's payback time!
I suspect she’s the temporary voice of moderation while her Dad has to act like a conservative for the next 7 months. After that he can be as moderate as he likes: because he will be a private citizen!
NONE. But I can do the math, and that is what it will take. The ‘lower taxes and cut waste’ is a joke. WE still want our politicians to give us our goodies that we voted for, but we can only print the money for so long and it is about to come crashing down around our ears. Right now we are borrowing/printing trillions to pay the interest on trillions with over 60 trillions in unfunded entitlements. Someone isn’t going to get paid, eventually. It will either be because a leader stepped in and convinced us to sacrifice to fix it, or it will be because the system came to a crashing halt, but it is coming either way.
I live in Arizona and hear the McCain ads on radio and they are so ridiculous.
Listening to them makes McCain appear as if he is an ultra conservative. They are so misleading that it is hard to believe anyone will fall for them.
McCain is toast.
The red states have to do their part. They can’t elect RINO’s and then complain that the blue states are also electing RINO’s.
“I live in Arizona and hear the McCain ads on radio and they are so ridiculous.”
Some poster the other day called the woman in the ad “the constipated whisperer” and I think it fits perfectly.
