ok folks, it is now Valentine's day across the US.

Give it up.

What are you up to? Are you intending to be "surprising" or among the "surprised?"

My daughters and I are going to the Smithsonian in D.C. today. Hopefully the streets are clear!

I bought heart shaped post-it notes this week and started writing things I love about my husband on them. Last night I stuck them all over the bathroom mirror so he would find them this morning. Thought he might appreciate the compliments more than stuff.

After 34 years of marriage there's no surprise(s) left.

I given her every gift under the Sun; Roses, Diamonds, Gold, Emeralds, Pearls, and 'Ruby's from Begonia' (old joke). The only thing I haven't given her is a Pony -- and we already have a Yellow Lab, so who needs a Pony :-)

If you can, be sure to make time to take a look at the American history section on railroad transportation, there is a huge Southern Railways '4-6-2' steam locomotive that has been perfectly restored, it's #1401.

If you see it, let me know and I can tell you a neat story about that train. Have a great day!

WOW!

Lady, you’re creative! Way to go!

I bet he saves each one.

Personal and silly thing here, just between you and me.

I recently learned that my sweetie has saved not only each and every card and letter I’ve sent to him, but also each box (and attached label) I’ve ever shipped. I couldn’t understand why and finally asked him. Here is what he said:

“Honey, I love your handwriting. It’s awesome. I’m a teacher and nowadays, kids type. They can’t write worth a shit. To see your penmanship was a thrill.”

*crinkled brow*

Some gals are loved for their beauty. Others are loved for their figures or for their brains.

I am loved for my...penmanship. LOL

and perhaps my sense of humor, no?

Making him eggs benedict for breakfast then lobster mac & cheese later for dinner with roast asparagus a bottle of Chandon Brut.

Oh, and plenty of cuddle time. And maybe a foot rub!

It’s good to be loved for something, but I’ll bet it was a lot more than just your handwriting.

Well, my husband is up, enjoying breakfast I made, but hasn’t discovered his notes yet. Can’t wait to see his reaction when he finds them.

Made a big pot of ‘Caldo de Pollo’(Chicken soup). I love it and will eat from the leftovers all week til it’s gone. Then later we are going out to return the watch he gave me.
