Bayh is ignoring a fundamental point. The RATs had a super majority and still couldn’t pass many of their socialist pieces of legislation. That wasn’t due to the ineffectual OP(formerly the GOP). The people prevented the RATs from furthering their agenda by speaking out.

Bayh has signed on to every lousy piece of crap generated by Obozo. Now he is whining.
The only reason he is whining is because he would have lost his seat in Indiana.
He knows the public here is hurting from the passage of bad policy. He also knows that he cannot run on being a centrist type anymore.
He has been exposed.

Thank goodness for those 'extremists' who don't accept 0bamacare. Good riddance, Bayh.

I hope he isn’t lying about not running for President.
Being a good Democrat you seldom can take them at their word.

Bayh’s lifetime ACU rating is 20.7 (Obomba’s was 10.0). This does not include 2009 voting, however. I would presume if that were the case, his rating would drop.
On this basis, Bayh is only slightly better than Obomba, which also means that his image as a “moderate” is largely hype.

"the partisanship, the interest-group dominance, has grown only worse in the last 15 years."
If special interest groups is such a worry for you, then why not propose an amendment to repeal the 17th amendment and have the Senators selected by the state legislatures? There might still be special interests, but at least it would move away from Washington and move out to the 50 states. They would be state dominated special interests. People like PETA would not have nearly the power they have now. George Soros would have to fund a thousand campaigns of state elected officials to have the same influence he does now.

Bayh is not a moderate (those who call themselves this stand for nothing). His ACU record is 20%!
He's a liberal who knows that his (hopefully) Conservative opponent would send him home anyway.

Partisanship to Bayh is compromise from the other side. He’s frustrated, embarrassed, and angry because they [democrats] continuously made fools of themselves. And the world got to see their stupidity in action. The republican party didn’t hurt them; they hurt themselves.
