Islamophobes' unwelcome at Fox News
One News Now ^ | February 17, 2010 | Chad Groening

Posted on 02/17/2010 5:37:21 AM PST by IbJensen

A former member of the Palestine Liberation Organization who has converted to Christianity says a Saudi prince is now the second-largest shareholder in Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, the parent company of the Fox News Channel.

For years the Fox News Channel has described itself as "fair and balanced," free from what some consider the "Kool-Aid" of liberalism and political correctness of other national news agencies. But Walid Shoebat, former Palestinian terrorist who is now a Christian, says ever since Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal became a major stockholder in Fox's parent company, he has been able to influence its news content.

Walid Shoebat small"He himself said, 'I just had to make a phone call to [tell them to] stop using the word Muslim' regarding the rioting in France," Shoebad notes. "Bill O'Reilly says to Ibrahim Hooper, the head of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), that he is an upstanding citizen. Since when was the head of CAIR an upstanding citizen?" he wonders.

The former terrorist adds that viewers will no longer be seeing any so-called "Islamophobes" on Fox.

"Today, I'm not invited at Fox News. Neither is Robert Spencer or Brigitte Gabriel," he laments. "But Ibrahim Hooper is invited to speak at Fox News. It used to be that experts on terrorism who are critical of the Islamic views [were] able to get a voice on Fox News. Those days are gone."

Shoebat concludes that instead of airing those critical views of Islam, Fox News now legitimizes Hooper, the spokesman for CAIR, a group which he maintains is a front for the terrorist group Hamas.

Like it or not, there are other issues when we actually can get traction. The courts aren’t going to remove Obama and that’s a simple fact.

A better use of your time would be push individual states to pass legislation requiring proof of eligibility and even then it isn’t likely to remove Obama. After all, when I jumped on board with the birth certificate issue, I felt that Obama himself was only a sign of the problem uncovered. The serious flaw in our system is bigger than Obama.

At this point I think it is you who is being used.

I wondered about that, too.

This is the third story of this in about 5 hours. (or variation of)

"Makes a person really wonder, they say every man has a price."

Yes, but who are these people? The ones who have sold out, so they say that to denigrate others who haven't, or won't, or wouldn't if not for evil council

Good point, when Fox starts acting like a goat herder and we are the sacrificial goats I’m loading ammunition.

What do you base that on? Do you have something to back that up, or is it just speculation?

Smells a bit like a coordinated propaganda effort.

Yes it does. Part of the "Fox News Is Evil" crowd turning down the blinding rhetoric a bit and trying to insinuate "evil intentions" little by little.

Somehow I just don't see the people who run Fox News as catering their highly successful commercial product to a 7% saudi interest. It ain't happening.

*sigh*

The only true conservative is the one defining the meaning of a true conservative. All others are RINOs.

All I can go with as a guide is what I feel in my heart, I see sell-outs posting here at FR, I could not say they are actually on a payroll system but to me they are sell outs hoping to recruit others like a bunch of robed persons at an airport.

It is way bigger, older than Free Republic.

Power attracts bad people. Bad people want others to sink to their level. Bad people want to weaken the people and their morals. The cheapest, easiest, most assured is not by drugs and material temptations, not even gold or money, but by control of ideas and the process of thinking itself.

It is our minds that rule us. It is through filling our minds with bad ideas that we are weakened. This is why the left, the communists, the Democrats and all the bad idea people before them have always wanted to take control of the schools, the pulpit. To have control, as much as possible, over peoples minds.

If you control minds, and the ideas, you don’t need chains nor guards. The people will guard, chain themselves.

The majority of people are passive thinkers. They choose their view of the world around them, with the ideas that have been accidentally, or by plan, presented to them.

This is why the elite send their kids to very, very good schools and why both Republican and Democrat elites support very very mediocre, if not bad public schools. They get to think, and we get to be taught not to think, and/or to dislike thinking. This gives them a open field when it comes to the combat of ideas. Their army has gone to the best of schools, ours to the worst of schools that are so bad as to be even worse than no school at all.

That is a very well thought out and descriptive narration that we should take to the heart, we all have weaknesses, its human nature to be flawed.

Its also human nature for others to rule the weak, to gain devotion and loyalties by harnessing basic mans desire to better themselves financially or spiritually.

I may have a meaningless pointless view, we see people that are eccentric, appear to be in their own world or just plain obsessed, I speak out for people like Orly Taitz, Limbaugh, Farah at WND just to name a few, they are condemned daily as kooks, radicals or seditionists.

In times like lately I tend to listen to them or watch their actions more closely, in cultures long ago in history people exactly like them would be the Shamans or religious leaders or prophets, they were shunned, ridiculed and often outcasts, but the tribes used them for guidance in troubled times.

There just may very well be a lot more than we see than what we see and here on TV or the internet.

Ok? And we’re supposed to believe this guy because? It wasn’t too long ago that Bill O’Reilly was calling these guys “Clowns” while talking about the KSM trial.
