The first poll, from the New York Times and CBS, reveals that a only 6% actually believe the “stimulus” created any jobs at all. So even among the Obama-worshiping DNC herd, most are still capable of comprehending that arbitrarily taking money from one part of the economy and putting it into another merely bankrupts the country while doing nothing to create jobs (especially when you withhold half of it for an election year).”

Good point. Most State’s can’t deficit spend or borrow the money to keep spending. So the federal government borrowed the money from China so the State’s could pay their bills. Quick fix for the States but doesn’t solve the overspending problem and it just puts the lender to the States (the Federal government)closer to insolvency. We are so screwed...

Unless the Republicans destroy the Democrats in 2010 and Obama is impeached or whatever with BC or records then the country is pretty much over.
We need a private sector WPA by private energy companies developing domestic petroleum based energy resources. Domestic energy development will create jobs, wealth and tax revenue like crazy.
$4 a gallon gas and the UAW destroyed GM and Chrysler.
It is state union govt workers and locals union govt workers plus the UAW. TARP was a union bailout.
This country is no where near over. Our debt is considerably lower, as a percentage of GDP, than most western countries. People forgot, or never understood, what a disaster the left is. Many lefties will be leaving DC after November. Obama can’t veto every bill that comes across his desk. If he does so long enough he will be impeached. We have to make very painful cuts to get spending down to sustainable levels and cut taxes to spur job growth. Neither will be popular with the media, but they will happen anyway. The media is now being ignored according to the recent polls, Fox viewership is way up so people are slowly getting the truth. Goodbye BO.

Exactly the health of our society and economy is controlled by petrolium energy.
