Ryan Sorba is an Arrogant Tool
David Horowitz's NewsRealblog ^ | Ryan Mauro

Posted on 02/21/2010 3:55:54 PM PST by Michael van der Galien

For those of you that don’t know, Ryan Sorba is the pompous genius who decided to wreck his big debut at CPAC by getting himself booed off stage. Watch the video below:

...

What a likeable guy.

“Bring it, I love it, I love it!” It’s pretty ironic that this guy who likes to show off his toughness is making a career out of attacking homosexuals. He even said to gay Republican Alex Knepper (who, in all fairness, didn’t exactly confront him politely—only click the link if you are ready for some crude remarks) that he’d fight him if his girlfriend wasn’t there. If Sorba was smart, he would have seen the future and said ex-girlfriend. If this is how he handles disputes, I can only imagine the horror he’d bring to the life of a spouse.

He goes on to defend his position by saying “civil rights are grounded in natural rights” and homosexuality isn’t natural. If I’m following him correctly, is he saying that homosexuals don’t deserve civil rights?

Interesting that the author likes to show off his stereotyping by insinuating that homosexuals are delicate flowers that need protecting from vicious words.

Sorba made perfect sense to me, but for using the CPAC stage/microphone to condemn CPAC [LMFWAO!]. His points on Natural Law and Social Law were cogent, logical, and precise.

Ryan Sorba was booed before he ever said a word. That's not free speech nor conservatism in action.

Also, what was with the stupid nonsensical introduction by the lady? (Sorba would be reasonably upset by that too).

Agreed. All of the sudden social conservatives must embrace homosexuals. That’s the same attitude that is destroying the Episcopalians. To hell with them and their sensibilities.

Don’t ever allow the RATS to sow mischief here.

Our house is on fire; if I dilly-dally w/ the house RATS, I and all that I love dearly will burn to the ground!

Was this his speech? Or did he just change it the last second he got on stage. Wrong forum for this guy to address this, I would guess.

That’s it. CPAC is now under control of leftard bloggers. Right after they let in GOProud, it was game over.

CPAC has been taken over by the McCain wing of the party, for truth in labeling they should rename it RINOPAC. No wonder Palin stayed away. And RuPaul winning the straw pole! CPAC just joint with the RNC on my “DO NOT DONATE” list, we need to starve them of funding like we did the RNC until they correct their course.

The butt-pokers don’t seem to like it if push your beliefs on them, but they seem to like to push their lifestyle on our kids though.

I am sure that the audience was salted with sodomites and their friends. Unfortunately, the sodomite lifestyle is full of pathologies, including their sex practices, drug and alcohol abuse, tendencies toward violence, grotesque promiscuity, lifestyle induced epidemic levels of STDs, obsession with having sex in public restrooms, public parks, and highway rest stops, and their sexual interest in children and adolescents. Media, sodomite advocacy groups, government agencies, and academia are trying to suppress or falsify information about these things, but you would have expected something better from CPAC than to treat the sodomites as if they are just another special interesat group in their hypothetical “Big Conservative Tent”.

You mean the Mitt Romney/Rockefeller wing.

>"One issue I want to clarify concerns President Clinton’s “don’t ask, don’t tell, don’t pursue” military policy. I believe that the Clinton compromise was a step in the right direction. I am also convinced that it is the first of a number of steps that will ultimately lead to gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly in our nation’s military. That goal will only be reached when preventing discrimination against gays and lesbians is a mainstream concern, which is a goal we share."

Sincerely, W. Mitt Romney

I didn't like Ryan Sorba's diatribe. I agree with the basic message, but it wasn't the time nor the place for it.

Conservatives don't need a scientific doctoral thesis presentation on why gays and their lifestyle choices are wrong. See his follow-up interview below with Lee Dorgan from How The World Works channel on Youtube. That's not the question, and we shouldn't be debating it there any how. There are many other issues to debate and to champion for the Conservative Cause.

How The World Works Interview with Ryan Sorba here.

The REAL question here was WHY DID CPAC ALLOW A GAY-RIGHTS ORGANIZATION TO BE THERE AS A CO-SPONSOR?

That's the issue, and that's the question.

GoProud is nothing but a homosexual rights organization wrapped up in a conservative front using Saul Alinsky-type tactics to infiltrate and change from within via incrementalism.

Why we allow this to happen is beyond me, but I will never support CPAC. There needs to be a true Conservative Conference and/or Coalition. CPAC is a freaking joke.

No mention of the Student’s For Liberty guy using his time first to congratulate CPAC for accomodating the homosexuals and that he too was booed?
