Attorney Appeals to UN for Protection from Persecution in United States
Geneva:
Today the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights has confirmed that American attorney Dr. Orly Taitz has applied for urgent action under the mandate for human rights defenders.
Dr. Taitz, a well known Constitutional attorney, has been under increasing attack in the United States from groups and individuals opposed to her legal actions challenging the Constitutional qualifications of Barrack Hussein Obama to hold the office of President of the United States.
The California attorney has been the victim of death threats, vandalism, false complaints, and a suspected assassination attempt. Her reports to law enforcement and the judiciary have been ignored.
This office has been retained by Dr. Taitz to support her efforts for a UN investigation of her claims.

No, we don't need a Supreme Court ruling on any of this, and never have. I wonder though: Has Orly finally done something so crazy that the Birthers can't buy in? And if so, will they reevaluate Birtherism, or just go looking for a new prophet?
I put it at 50-50 that the Birthers give up on Orly, and 1-20 that the give up on Birtherism.

No, Judge Carter if she was in the wrong jurisdiction and the case should be filed in a DC venue because there was no precedent for him to refer too. The other Judge named Land dismissed the case because he was a staunch Obama supporter and said she lacked jurisdiction and that the military officer plantiffs had no authority to question if their Commander n Chiefs orders are constitutional. I mean at least Carter set trial dates and everything until Eric Holders assistant joined his court. Then this is what happened.
Here is the crux of Judge Carter’s decision:
“Interpreting the Constitution is a serious and crucial task with which the federal courts of this nation have been entrusted under Article III. However, that very same Constitution puts limits on the reach of the federal courts. One of those limits is that the Constitution defines processes through which the President can be removed from office. The Constitution does not include a role for the Court in that process. Plaintiffs have encouraged the Court to ignore these mandates of the Constitution; to disregard the limits on its power put in place by the Constitution; and to effectively overthrow a sitting president who was popularly elected by We the People‚ sixty-nine million of the people. Plaintiffs have attacked the judiciary, including every prior court that has dismissed their claim, as unpatriotic and even treasonous for refusing to grant their requests and for adhering to the terms of the Constitution which set forth its jurisdiction. Respecting the constitutional role and jurisdiction of this Court is not unpatriotic. Quite the contrary, this Court considers commitment to that constitutional role to be the ultimate reflection of patriotism. Therefore, for the reasons stated above, Defendants’ Motion to Dismiss is GRANTED.”
I’m an optimist. I bet there are some who will finally say to themelves, “enough.” They will be too embarrassed to tell us, but you will see them disappear form the birther/non-birther food fights. We must welcome them back to the fold.

And, no, Siddharth Velamoor, the clerk in question, was not one of Eric Holder's assistants. He is a young lawyer who worked for the firm Perkins Coie, which has handled legal issues for a the Obama campaign and other political clients, most often Democrats. It is a very large and reputable firm, and Mr. Velamoor did not work in any area that would taint his selection by Judge Carter. Neither the honorable Judge nor poor Mr. Velamoor deserve the insinuations cast upon them by people who neither know the facts of what they are talking about, nor care about facts in general.
The first questions in the hearing will be: “Who are you again? Why are you here, and how did you get past security?”

Sure, Dr. Orly makes mistakes. We all do. But Dr. Orly is no dummy. How many of us could go to a foreign country, learn 5 languages, establish a successful dental practice, a successful real estate business AND pass the California state bar- one of the hardest in the U.S. to pass?
She may be a ‘mail order’ attorney and not a Harvard lawyer, but she IS an attorney with all the rights and privilages of a Harvard lawyer nevertheless!
The point is; she has the passion, the zeal, the courage of her convictions and the love of America and its freedoms (unlike many of our ‘great’ attorneys and ‘patriots’ who criticize her) that will not let her give up!
She is exhausted. She is nervous. She is frustrated. It is reported that she gets by on 4-5 hours of sleep per night, and her family is very worried about her health- as well as her safety.
She makes mistakes. But she will NOT give up. She will keep on until she gets it right.
Stop tearing her apart. The Obots on FR don’t need our help.
The obots are scared to death of this little lady and her determination. That’s why they come out in droves all over the net on forums, chat rooms and even the national news to attack and ridicule.
