While polls show more people drifting away from acceptance of "global warming," the newest superstar among conservatives – Glenn Beck – is embracing it.
"You'd be an idiot not to notice the temperature change," he says.
He also thinks it could be caused partly by man's activity.
At home, he's going green by using energy-saving products.
"I'm willing to do anything but use the CFLs," he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. "I put them in once and couldn't stand the way they lit up the room."
The kinder, gentler, greener and warmer side of Beck, known as a firebrand conservative, came to light in an interview in USA Weekend.
Beck also has lots of friends on the other side of the political spectrum, he reveals. He calls George Clooney "a good, honest man." Beck says the two of them had an extended conversation about the genocide in Darfur.
"We came to an immediate, completely wholehearted agreement about the situation," Beck says. "That is, to put aside the politics and give troops what they need to protect people over there. He's a good, honest man who believes passionately about doing something about it."
Beck's personal publicist, Matt Hiltzik, is a Democratic power player who helped get Hillary Rodham Clinton elected to the U.S. Senate, says the magazine report.

You keep saying that Glenn is out for Glenn, well yeah.
This Country is built on self reliance, in order to do that you have to look out for yourself because no one is going to do it for you.
Libs want others to take care of them, look out for them, Conservatives do it them selves and that means looking out for you own self interest, you seem to think that's a bad thing.
Beck is filling a very large audience with info they're NOT getting anywhere else, certainly not from anyone with an audience approaching the size of his. And he knows how to draw attention to himself, and therefore this very important information. However, I do agree he acts a little too kooky at times, particularly the crying bits. But he doesn't seem to be doing that much anymore.
So the interview didn’t happen?

The Beck protectors are hitting this news hard; thus proving that it is true. (the interview proves it too)
The point I’m attempting to make is if he or his staff are stealing information it needs to be made public by the person or persons offended. I honestly do not know if he does or has usfaced others work without citation. But any theft of should be addressed openly and with facts. I can’t believe the Fox legal staff would allow theft of intellectual property.

Gotta figure that Beck would make enemies. The GOP lapdogs are squealing because he’s a big meanie. The libtards are squealing because its what they do. The Birthers are squealing because he doesn’t agree. Several radio voices some popular and some nobodys are squealing because they don’t have his audience.
As for this global warming thing. LOL some folks just don’t care about reality. Beck broke a CFL bulb for earth day and slammed those people hard repeatedly.
If he wants to be green its his choice. He opposes cap and trade and all the green legislation the same way I do but that doesn’t mean I want to waste energy or pollute for the hell of it. Only morons do that.
