While polls show more people drifting away from acceptance of "global warming," the newest superstar among conservatives – Glenn Beck – is embracing it.
"You'd be an idiot not to notice the temperature change," he says.
He also thinks it could be caused partly by man's activity.
At home, he's going green by using energy-saving products.
"I'm willing to do anything but use the CFLs," he says of compact fluorescent light bulbs. "I put them in once and couldn't stand the way they lit up the room."
The kinder, gentler, greener and warmer side of Beck, known as a firebrand conservative, came to light in an interview in USA Weekend.
Beck also has lots of friends on the other side of the political spectrum, he reveals. He calls George Clooney "a good, honest man." Beck says the two of them had an extended conversation about the genocide in Darfur.
"We came to an immediate, completely wholehearted agreement about the situation," Beck says. "That is, to put aside the politics and give troops what they need to protect people over there. He's a good, honest man who believes passionately about doing something about it."
Beck's personal publicist, Matt Hiltzik, is a Democratic power player who helped get Hillary Rodham Clinton elected to the U.S. Senate, says the magazine report.

I was simply trying to get a few facts out about GoreBull Warming, given that there is so much BS and misinformation out there about it. Besides the info was more intended for later reference, not to necessarily read on the spot. The article at the top clearly refers to Beck’s view on the subject.

Glenn Beck blatantly stole her story. Period. This is the reason that NO bloggers stick up for him. He steals their hard work. It’s no accident that GB has no friends in the blogosphere. His “fans” want to believe they don’t mention him because they are jealous of him. No, it’s because he takes the independent research and “scoops” of others and presents them as his own. The only reason they aren’t going after him now is because he is BIG and serving their purpose; he’s providing entertainment.
GB is not a traditional conservative. That is the point here....he is not self-reliant. Most days, he is a common thief, stealing the intellectual property of others. That’s what I am saying. That said, the one thing his staff did research, which was the whole Mao, Lenin, Marx etc thing, was well done. He’s entitled to take credit for that and should.
But when I see his show each day, most stuff I already knew. Because he’s grabbed it from others.

Thanks. It underlines the poor dopeness of it all. Things have been warming up since the mini ice age (recently) and since the last glacial period in the more distant past, but even the peak warmth of this interglacial is the coolest of the past five interglacials including the one we’re in.
In the meantime, he's getting a ton of critical facts out about the revolutionary communists now running our country.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. One heavily parsed and edited interview 2-3 times removed is not in any way "extraordinary".
Unfortunately the Alex Jones, Rev Manning listening crowd aren’t rational people and frankly don’t really care about telling the truth.
Just last night one of them said they didn’t really care if it was the truth or not because Beck had it coming to him for ridiculing the birthers.

How many hundred times have you heard him say that the Republican party is an unacceptable choice, and is that not the same thing?
