The HomoCon Tipping Point: Why CPAC Was a Milestone Weekend for Gays
Big Journalism ^ | Feb 23, 2010 | Bruce Carroll

(excerpt) This moment at CPAC is even more important for the conservative movement as it happened at an important time when there is already a generational change going on in America. Boomers are fading, Xer’s are ruling, and Millenials are finding their way. Forty-eight percent of those who participated in the CPAC straw poll last week identified themselves as students. They are the future of conservativism. And they shouted down an anti-gay bigot.

There will surely be other homocon-related clashes within the conservative movement, just as the Democrat Party has regularly used the gay community as pawns in their re-election schemes for decades. But as the late gay political icon Harvey Milk, who started out as a Republican, famously said:

Gay people, we will not win our rights by staying silently in our closets… We are coming out. We are coming out to fight the lies, the myths, the distortions. We are coming out to tell the truths about gays, for I am tired of the conspiracy of silence, so I’m going to talk about it. And I want you to talk about it. You must come out. Come out to your parents, your relatives.

Last week at CPAC we saw the many years of work by dedicated conservative gays and lesbians standing up for their values and the principles of freedom and liberty finally pay off. There was a tipping point for gays in America last week at CPAC. It happened because they have been coming out to their parents, friends and relatives over time… as American conservatives who just happen to be gay.

“You are correct is that the Conservative movement can only succeed if it only includes those people that are morally pure.

Therefore, conservatives should banish those who are gay, those who have had abortions, those who have ever used illegal drugs, those who have had premarital sex and those who have torn those annoying tags off of their pillows.”

This is what you said in response to homosexual activists being included in a conservative venue where they shouted down a conservative who disagreed with their behavior and/or agenda.

We have every kind of “sinner” in the conservative movement but we don’t set up booths for them to promote their “sins.” Most conservative don’t go around loud and proud of their abortions with a booth at the conservative political events. They do that at socialist events.

CPAC permited homosexuals to promote their sexual behavior or lifestyle choice and the power to shout down the truth. Conservatives are not for promoting amorality or immorality.
We don’t support the homosexual agenda that was at CPAC.

She was not invited. The homosexuals with their agenda were given a booth and a mob of fake conservatives shouted down a man who disagreed with them. May as well have been the usual aggressive amoral and immoral socialist affair.

“those who have torn those annoying tags off of their pillows.”

The pillow company may not remove the tag.

The owner of the pillow can.

Specifically, what part of the radical homo agenda were the gays pushing at CPAC?

Oh, I see, removing that tag from the pillow is a legal activity?

Gay marriage was the trojan issue. What issues do they reject of the homosexual agenda? They were not pushing that the perverts leave the kids alone.

No that TAG must be on the pillow at the time the consumer buys it. Once it is purchased, the owner can remove the tag. That is what I have heard. That is my understanding; if I am wrong, please advise.

Yes pulling a tag off a pillow is legal as is being gay and having pre marital sex.

I was at Yahoo Answers, and this is what they say about tag removals from mattresses, pillows, etc:
___________________________________________________________

The warning is not meant for consumers, but for merchants and manufacturers.

Back in the old days when business people were not as high-principled and as scrupulously honest as they are today, some manufacturers were not too picky about the materials they used to stuff mattresses and the like. So you might have ended up sleeping on vermin or stuff that could make you sick or a dead cow or something. Well, probably not a dead cow.

Anyway, the government stepped in and required them to put a tag on the product listing its contents, and it carried the warning “Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law.” That never applied to you, just to the manufacturers and dealers, but lots of people didn’t understand that.

Nowadays the tag says, “This tag may not be removed except by the consumer.”

It is my understanding that the gays at CPAC were not advocating gay marriage nor were they recruiting children.

That is not my understanding from a friend who attended CPAC.

Log Cabin Republicans (so-called conservatives all) have close ties to GLAD (you should look it up) and the main items on their agenda are: gay marriage, immigration for AIDS/HIV infected gays, and open gays in the military....hubba hubba!

Their website discusses acceptance of gay families - that is code for the queer sex re-education program targeted at other people’s kiddos in the public schools. Gladd is a “civil rights organization” for gays. It’s goal is to make this poor, offended minority a group with special rights and voice over everybody else. They sue in places they think they have the judges to force gay sex education and clubs in the public schools. Currently they are focusing their efforts on New England.

A conservative should know these things, turmandogz, so that they are not whipped up into the frenzy of mis-direction that liberals always whip up to divide conservatives. This is much more “change” than if I accept homos doing their thing while being a conservative voter - which I do. It is a political affiliation with an agenda. You should ask yourself...what is that agenda and do I want it called “conservative.” Do I want to associate with it - give legal, sexual, social and political power to it?

"Perhaps that has something to do with the fact that this is a conservative website, not a Libertarian website."
I have been on this site for over 6 years posting, with a coupla years as a lurker. The libertarians and conservatives have been tied at the hip forever, with a whole lotta overlapping ideals. This attacking the libertarians has only recently started. I am a conservative, with libertarian leanings. I believe the government has no place in my life. I believe that government interference with my civil liberties is just plain wrong. I believe in smaller government, lower taxes, and the projection of freedom. If this means I am not a conservative, so be it....

So, in answering my question, you stand for storm troopers issuing no knock warrants, dressed an ninja’s, shooting first and asking questions later? There was a woman in georgia, a little old lady, shot dead in her home because of a no knock warrant based upon a bad tip from a drug user. I guess from your answer you support this. Sorry, you are no conservative if you believe this...not a libertarian issue, but a civil rights issue...

“The only thing they are conservative on is guns and taxes.”

Not really. There’s that entire “size and scope of government” thing. That isn’t just a tax issue, it’s an issue of liberty and constitutionality.

If you applaud the paramilitarization of domestic police forces and see no problem with no-knock raids and civil asset forfeiture prior to any conviction in a court of law, you’re no conservative; you’re authoritarian.

Calling oneself conservative, and advocating the undermining of Constitutional protections, which is in fact the law, in order to enforce another law, is inherently disordered thinking. There are justified limits upon what police may legally do in pursuit of crime or suspected crime. To believe otherwise is contrary to everything for which our Founders stood.

If you can’t see this, you deserve to get hauled out of your own home and frog marched to some kangaroo court for denying global warming, or saying homosexuality is wrong, come some fine, future day in this burgeoning Obama nation.
