Perry has not run as negative campaign as KBH,
he’s running on Texas being better than other states.

Re replacement for Hutchison, our local state rep says that Williams is the only name that seems to have “leaked” out of the Perry office. Met him only once and can’t decide if I am impressed or not. State is moving left so I would think that White’s (former Houston Democrat Mayor) next venture would be the Senate if he doesn’t win as Governor. Tough times ahead.

White was looking at the Senate race to begin with when he was convinced to get into the Gov. race.
The appt by the gov is only good until the vacancy can be fill by a special election. I think the next option for that would be the Nov. general date unless an emergency election is declared necessary by the gov.

I honestly haven't even heard a KBH ad.
But I hear ads 20 times a day that say KBH isn't a real conservative, and voted for the bailout ect.
To: Pantera
Most politicians after twenty years in politics have told fewer, less obvious and less egregious lies than Medina has told in a month or so.
Plus I don’t think Perry or Hutchison, or for that matter White or Shami are nutbag crazy like she is.
I am going to vote for Perry, the only real choice in this election.

That’s a fairly good summary of the situation. At this point, KBH looks very weak and is only helping the democrats.

How is Medina coming on her campaign promise to end gun registration in Texas? I guess I must be in big trouble, 'cause I haven't registered any of mine.

I hear way more KBH ads trashing Perry. I believe she’s spent the most money so far too.

That is the point. Any real gun person in Texas knows there is no registration to end. Medina and her supporters didn’t know this.

really?
I guess we just watch/listen to different media.
What do the anti-Perry ads say about him? OH! I just remembered! I have heard some Trans-Texas corridor type ads against him, which is frankly my biggest gripe with him.

I cant find the part about ending registration...It is apparently gone now. That is why I don't go to her site for information. I wouldn't believe anything I read there anyway.
FReeper Dubya was on several threads with this premise ask him for the details. Or try Omegabea as she "has a house full of guns" and chastised me for not being a fellow gun expert.
VOTE FOR MEDINA IN MARCH 2ND 2010 PRIMARY FOR TEXAS GOVERNOR SHE IS FOR ELIMIINATION OF PROPERTY TAX AND GUN REGISTRATION
In the first debate she stated that she "wishes that she could carry a gun in a grocery store." I am not much of a wisher as I can carry in a grocery store as can most people interested in self defense.

I can't remember all of them, but one of the more recent ones talks about how much is spent on Perry's living accommodations (since the governor's mansion burned down). I don't know how much say he actually has in that. Also something about him spending some money that the state paid for at a health spa. Another ad talks about money spent (implying wasted)on highway improvements and rest stop beautification. That one is dishonest, because the fed. highway money comes with strings that say you must spend a certain percentage of highway money on (usually) worthless junk like that.

Prop 1 is just to see if we should keep pushing this issue, but it has yet to come up to vote in the legislature.Yes, but if we must do things, in steps, then let's do it. These propositions on the ballot just make it that much more important how we vote for our representatives in November. I would like to see all five propositions come up beore the legislature and pass. They are all true conservative initiatives.
If Texas rejects socialized medicine, we will still have to pay for it. What would we do, refuse to pay the IRS?
That opens up a wide variety of possibilities, doesn't it?

I have to admit those are all pretty lame.
Hm... whoever is advising KBH on where to spend her money and what to say needs to be fired. I watch and listen to politics nearly 12 hours a day and all I hear are Perry ads.
To: smokingfrog; Eaker
Thanks for the video smokingfrog... everyone should watch this entire video if you didn't see the debates. She is impressive in this and these debates are what drove Medina from 4% to 16% to 24% in about a month.
She does say "we should eliminate gun registration in Texas"... but if you listen to the entire answer about her position on guns, isn't this exactly what we all believe about our right to bear arms?
Eaker, is there anything in there that you disagree with in premise? It's even easy to see that the "registration" error occurred because she wanted to communicate the real danger of being soft on gun rights. Because she is right... registration historically leads to confiscation.
How many politicians do you hear talk about the fact that the 2nd amendment is in the bill of rights to guarantee our ability to defend ourselves from a tyrannical govt? Virtually zero, most hide behind hunting or some other PC answer. It's nice to see someone who has the balls to call it like it is (damn, now you'll be saying that Medina supporters think she really does have balls... that's the dishonest game your playing)
This goes back to my original point... instead of supporting an obvious Constitution/State Sovereignty candidate, you guys nit and pick on insignificant phrases and details that really don't tell the story of how much of a freedom candidate Medina really is.
IMO, you fail to see the forest for the trees... because Beck told you to.

She is reading a poorly written script is all she is doing.
Anyone who actually knows or cares anything about gun ownership in Texas could never have made such a stupid series of mistakes.
Medina is disingenuous and ignorant on the Second Amendment like everything else.
IMO, you fail to see the forest for the trees... because Beck told you to.
This is pretty gay even for a Paul/Medinabot. Did you get it at CPAC from your GayProud buddies?
