Harrison Ford is the head of the Young Eagles

Harrison was the head of the Young Eagles Program.

Last year he was replace, and I can’t remember who replaced him. The EAA web site would have the answer.

A little research yields the results: http://www.youngeagles.org/news/archive/2009%20-%2009_29%20-%20Changing%20of%20the%20Guard.asp

Young Eagles is really cool. Our Cub Scout Pack had a summer outing at a local airport where each kid got to fly. THey had a blast. My son wants to become a pilot because of Young Eagles.

That’s nice, but I couldn’t care less. Not every lighthearted conversation needs to be drilled into as though it was a college thesis. Are you a computer programmer by chance, they seems to turn every conversation into some nerdy academic exercise?

Harrison is the lead poster boy and public spokesman for YE, as that was my point. I couldn’t care less who is the administrative lead.

And my point was, he isn’t, and bothered to back it up with the changing of the guard article, but you aren’t interested, so excuse me.

No, Vacaville is not the end of the line. There is an In & Out in Chico and in Redding.

I bought this one from a gent that lived 4 homes from where I use to. The 4th he built.
Full IFR panel, and flies like a dream.
I had a business that kept me too busy and will be building a RV 12 when I get back from driving Route 66 this summer.
Have to get ready for Light sport and old age.
FL37 is a 4000 ft long 100 foot wide airport about 15 miles west of Port S. St. Lucie.
Lots of real fine aircraft here and mostly good decent folks with about 6 or 8 real butt heads.
100 lots of between 2 and 7 acres.
Surrounded by cattle farms and orange groves.
I use to belong to EAA Fort Pierce but it amounted to a bunch of old farts that were a lot of talk but little flying.

Thanks for the interesting and informing reply. I’m a member of EAA, but due to work load have time for Oshkosh, and little time otherwise.

Have to get ready for Light sport and old age.

Probably a good idea. I may not be able to pass a medical, now and if I get an implant defibrillator, I guarantee I won’t pass. At least I haven’t failed a medical.

Of course what all that means, is I can fly with a co-pilot, or light sport, and around here winter puts a crimp in flying, oh, about 5 months of the year.

Lots of real fine aircraft here and mostly good decent folks with about 6 or 8 real butt heads

Sounds like a little bit of heaven except for the butt heads? Just what would we do without butt heads? Enjoy life just a bit more perhaps.

I use to belong to EAA Fort Pierce but it amounted to a bunch of old farts that were a lot of talk but little flying.

For stated reasons, and one month from 70, I have an appreciation for what those old farts may be going through. So remember them, when you slip the surly bonds of earth, and dance on laughter-silvered wings.

For some people Vacaville really, really, really is the end of all the lines.

I see what you mean, though. They should be able to get a truck up there regularly. On the other hand, if they're getting the buns on a local contract, and tapping into the same contractor the prison uses for the meat, you could have some problems Fur Shur.

BTW, been to Redding. Have some cousins out in the mountain ridges around there. Flying over the region is an incredible experience.

It just gets tedious though.
I also have a sailboat I use 2 or 3times a week at club med and watch
most boats never leave the dock.
But they all talk a good game.

I hear you. Hanger flying, and what ever sailors call talking a good line while tied up to the dock.

Not sure where our local In & Out gets it’s meat or buns. I suppose that could make all the difference in the world. I have found that the Madison Bear Gardens and the Graduate both have a much better burger than In & Out in Chico. Also, our local Burger Hut is better as well. Depending upon who is working, Carl’s Junior is also better (but, it really depends upon who is making the food). I guess it’s possible we just have an In & Out that’s not all that good compared to ones in Southern CA.

I’d definitely suspect that.
