Assuming Obama was born in Hawaii as he claims, whether Hawaii was a state or a territory would not affect his eligibility to be President. Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona Territory 3 years before it became a state, and that did not keep him from running for President.
God forbid America ever do anything that's unprecedented. Of course, the whole thing stinks from A to Z, but elect me president and what would be unprecedented would be how fast the DOJ would be purged of its traitors, socialists and communists. How those SOBs manage to hold onto their positions administration after administration is beyond me.
With the help of Eagle forum this is what I sent my representative.
Native Americans are not and never have been members of a tribe. Whereas
Indian tribes saw their land seized by the federal government, Hawaiians
willfully and democratically exercised self-determination on June 27, 1959
when they voted by an 86 percent margin to make their archipelago the 50th
state.
Upon achieving statehood, Hawaiians agreed to accept the U.S.
Constitution. There would be no more monarchy and no more separate
government or sovereignty for Native Hawaiians.
It is unconstitutional and against the law to divide the American people
solely on account of race or ethnicity, as stated by the 15th Amendment.
In Rice v. Cayetano, the Supreme Court stated, “One of the reasons race is
treated as a forbidden classification is that it demeans the dignity and
worth of a person to be judged by ancestry instead of by his or her own
merit and essential qualities.”
This bill is inherently racially discriminatory. The people under the
jurisdiction of this new government wouldn’t even be defined by geography,
community or cultural cohesiveness, but by race alone.
The very least your constituents expect is for you to oppose racially
discriminatory legislation, so please VOTE NO on H.R. 2314!
Yes, this is a crock! How are they going to decide who is a native Hawaiian? I’m a former resident of Oahu & there are no pure HI’an’s left - except maybe a few on the private island of Niihau.
Time for more letters to my senators...
Until we’re all paying the same income tax rate, there is no “equal protection under the law.”
But Sen. Harkin said segregation is illegal in this country...
Hmm, I wonder if Obama will finally produce his Hawaiian birth certificate in order to qualify for reparations?
And again, that doesn't mean a thing to the Dim congress.
Who introduced the legislation and do you have a roll call?
The 2010 elections can't come soon enough... >:-(
Still waiting for my reparations from the Romans.
“Assuming Obama was born in Hawaii as he claims, whether Hawaii was a state or a territory would not affect his eligibility to be President”
Oh, darn it, you’re right. Wishful thinking.
Remember: the equal protection clause ONLY applies to Gays trying to get married.
So you crackers can shove that up your butts. LOL!

People should know when they are conquered.
This may have more to do with this executive order signed by Obama for the Tribes. Press release listed below is complete.
I found the pdf file (listed last) of the executive order on the Dept. of Justice website:

Tribal Input and Agency Plans to Implement the Executive Order on Tribal Consultation
Posted by Jodi Gillette on December 14, 2009 at 07:54 PM EST
Ed. Note: the list of agency contacts below was updated on January 6, 2010.
As part of the President Obama’s commitment to regular and meaningful consultation and collaboration with federally recognized Indian tribes, we are pleased to update you on the implementation of the Presidential Memorandum on Tribal Consultation, which the President signed during the White House Tribal Nations Conference on November 5, 2009. The President directed federal agencies to develop plans to implement Executive Order 13175, “Consultation and Coordination with Tribal Governments.” These plans are to be developed after consultation with Indian tribes and must be submitted to the Office of Management and Budget by February 3, 2010.
Through interagency coordination and other methods, agencies are presently seeking input from tribal leaders. For example, the Department of the Interior initiated a series of consultations starting on December 1, 2009. The Department of Justice is conducting teleconference calls with tribes; please visit their website for a complete schedule of calls. Through national conference calls and in writing, the Department of Homeland Security is requesting tribal input on a draft consultation policy and a plan. The Department of Veterans Affairs is also requesting written tribal input. The Department of Labor will be hosting two national consultations; more details can be found on their website.
Please communicate with the agencies directly for more information, and please click here (pdf) if you would like the latest list of agency contacts.
For general questions, please email GeneralTribalIGA@dsr.eop.gov. We encourage you to participate in these ongoing discussions, and we look forward to working together to strengthen the Nation-to-Nation relationship.

Good. Perhaps we white people can be granted our own lands, government and tribal status.
I wonder what this will mean for me since I live in Hawaii and work at Pearl Harbor?
My younger brother may be alright since he is married to a woman who is half Hawaiian.
Oh! Ok! We're back down to 49 states.
Slave ancestors are next?
